Allow characters to start with more than one *different* strenth card and more than one *different* weakness card.
It makes no sense to me to restrict characters to starting the game with only one strength and weakness (multiple copies of the same card are something different). In some games this is fine, in others, it would be nice to allow -even require- players to plan out their characters a little more in advance than just having one strength and one weakness, and without having to play tricks such as everyone having a load of wild cards, adding such information to the character bio - or using asset cards as strengths and weaknesses. The game already has strength and weakness cards, so let's let users take full advantage of them from the start and not have to rely on using wild cards for virtually everything.
The reason I think this is limiting, is because it doesn't just encourage make-it-up-as-you-go-along gameplay, it virtually requires it. Of course the narrators can require changes to posts that are blatantly out of character, but this feels like an intrusive workaround for a limitation that never needed to be there.
Further more, there is an untapped potential for Storium to be used as a great personal writing tool. However advanced writers who were to try this would very quickly find that the card system LIMITS their ability to define complex characters from the get-go, rather than EMPOWERING them as it should.
