Suggestions for Narrators
More suggestions should be given throughout the “Start a game” process. One that is affecting me currently is that a person joined Storium and became a Narrator on the same day, creating two worlds to occupy her time during a spring break, then, at least in the game that she is running that I enrolled in, she sporadically drops into the game when her return to school permitted over a few weeks, then followed that with an announcement that finals were approaching, so “do what you want” for two weeks. If events happen unplanned in one’s life, it is a lot easier to understand than knowing that one would not be able to devote the time to ‘2-3 scenes/week’ as one is enrolled in an university. She starts writing a new scene after we finish one. And she has five commitments in Storium, two as Narrator. AAAAHHH. I am mum about this topic within our group, but for those who have difficulty planning realistically, I suggest that some pointers about social commitments, and the things that should be considered when becoming a Narrator (like having the basics of a new Scene ready before people go, “What’s next?” and “When are you going to be ready?”). One person already dropped out, perhaps due to the same frustration.
