Automated Player "Flags"
I've played a couple games now where players have just kind of up and left, or worse, just stopped making moves without actually retiring. It can really be destructive to a game. I was wondering if there might be a way that the system could automatically "flag" repeated instances of such behavior so that Narrators starting new games could see if players could be problematic.
Basic idea: On a player's screen, the system could count:
-Number of times a player has retired from a game
-Number of times a player received an automated reminder to post
-Number of times the player was reminded to post by "Poke Laggards"
-Number of times a player is asked to revise a move by the Narrator
These could perhaps be visible to narrators on a screen when approving players for a game. More importantly, though, each of these could be a trait that gets "flagged" when it reaches a high enough level relative to the number of games a player has played. (Obviously, someone who has played 30 games may have more reminders to move than someone who has only played 2, even if he's not generally a problem in that regard.) Narrators could then see players who have been "flagged" and which potential problems they've been flagged for, and have some more guidance on whether the player might engage in problematic behavior.
A forgiveness system might be a good idea if this is implemented too, however, so a black mark once wouldn't necessarily remain on a player's record for all time and prevent him from ever getting any games.
