People are having trouble noticing the challenges
In two separate games, people haven't been noticing the challenges, or the character cards, and realizing that they need to click them. I'd maybe include a pop-up notification being like 'Yo! you have unmet challenges. Are you sure you want to submit?' (at that time, highlight the place they should click to address the unmet challenges / characters).
Also: I REALLY WANT TO BE ABLE TO MAKE A CHARACTER THAT HAS NO ATTACHED CHALLENGE. Like none at all. I want a dumb NPC that can be like "golly jee willikers would you like some ale" without having it be a challenge.

I think "adding a non-challenging NPC to a scene" really falls under the general request to let us upload pictures to a scene. If we can upload a picture with a caption, then BAM, that pretty much is an easy way to include an NPC who isn't a challenge.

Characters who aren't challenges are, presumably, just part of the narrator's scene description. Potentially, they could be asset cards: a "Talked with Bob" card could be played to share whatever secrets Bob may have mentioned, or to convince someone else of something.
"I'm here to get that car you've been working on. Bob asked me to pick it up for him." [Plays "talked with Bob" asset]
