Allow players to refresh their cards by subtype (Strengths/Weaknesses)
Currently, you have to use up ALL of your Strengths AND Weaknesses before you can refresh your cards.
In the current game I am narrating, a few players have used all of one or the other, and now only have one type remaining.
I think it would be useful if once you used up all of one type, you get to refresh your cards of that type. So when I have played all of my weakness cards and have some strength cards left, but it makes sense to play a weakness at this point, I am not forced to play a strength card.

To be honest, now that I've played more, my groups have completely abandoned the card mechanics altogether. They aren't really serving the story, because of the restrictions around their usage.
I do think the enforcement of a balance of Strength / Weakness cards is useful to new players who don't understand the concept of playing fair, realistic characters. Though, even seasoned players sometimes need reminders of when they're god-modding.
I know this wouldn't come to pass, but I honestly think if there was only a limit on the amount of Strengths a player could play before having to play a Weakness, I would like that system best. If players wanted to only play Weaknesses for the entire game.. they could go to town.
Maybe when the ability to give players Strength / Weakness cards is added to Storium, we'll both be a bit happier?
Anyway, I know what you mean. We've gotten to the point where we're just writing a collaborative story, and ignoring the game's rules completely. Just leaves us wondering why we're paying for Storium, and not on a free-to-use platform for writing instead.

Joel, I totally see your point, however, for some stories/games, the collaborative story is the objective.
I like your idea though to make it an option. I have a player currently that only has their three strength cards left, and they are experiencing difficulty finding relevant ways to play them, but doesn't get any more cards until he plays them, or I give more to him as goals or assets.
