When browsing games, you don't see how many characters have been submitted. A game might look as if there's little interest or there are still places available, though once you go ahead and join, you find out there's a long list of pending characters, and the odds for you to join are slim.

It would be interesting to see in the browser how many characters have been submitted in order to gauge interest and available seats in a game.

Also, having to cancel once you find this out is bothersome. I'd put the join button one level deeper, and just allow anyone to browse to the overview page with the character listings before hitting "join".
