Ability to search games, users, and worlds
A way to search the existing games more efficiently than going down the list 5-10 at a time would be a great idea. Some of the games featured in the Kickstarter info, I'd like to check out.

Agreed with the searching by filter - genre, frequency of play, number of players, narrator name, players name(s), and tags that can be set by narrator.
Perhaps create a 'props' attribute for user accounts, where people (fellow players/narrators in a game only) can give the player "props" (like thumb-up/like/star/fave) for good RP/playing well with others.

Agree with everything here. Suggested similar want to give this more backing

Agreed. Especially helpful if you want to check out a specific game mentioned/recommended by someone.

This looks great, but for players who are interested in a specific type of game (fantasy, horror, In Nomine, whatever), it can take a long time to scroll through the list of "Looking for Players" to find something suitable. Could Storium allow prospective players to screen their choices by genre? For example "Looking For Players -- Horror games" or "Looking for Players -- Superheroes" and so on.

This needs looking at with some urgency I would say. Kickstarter tyre kickers are already leaving the site and games are being left with missing players and half finished stories. To be a success and not turn Storium into a graveyard of frustrated players and dead stories the system needs:
1) A decent filtering system with
a) Ability to add tags to games that people can search on.
b) Abillity for narrator to mark games as "dead" without deleting them so they disappear from the listings
c) Classification system similar to Ron Edwards method of classifying games ( http://www.indie-rpgs.com/_articles/system_does_matter.html ) and the ability to better classify games so that people can more easily find players that suit their play style.2) Dead games
a) Ability to reassign a players character to a new player. This allows a story to continue with it's integrity intact OR the ability to copy that character's details to a new player so they can just take over where the retired player left off.
b) Area where dead games can quickly find new players before the other players get bored and head off. At the moment readvertising your game means that it's several pages in to the "looking for players" list and as such very unlikely to get a replacement from the general list of players3) Socialisation
a) Some method to mark players as good players, I'm kind of against marking players as bad players but definitely as good players. This does not mean good as in "They write well" as different people enjoy different styles so any quality judgement would be meaningless, but simply mark down that they commented, that they were active, that they appeared in scenes, played cards and did their bit to move a story on. Narrators need to be able to tell if a player is going to wreck their game.
b) A way to blind invite players based on their tags matching the tags of your game, that way you could bulk invite people that might be interested in joining a game that lost some players and would also be a good way of bulk inviting players.Anyway, that's my thoughts.

Definitely necessary. It'd be very helpful to be able to search by keyword, by pregenerated world, by the name of the narrator, or maybe even by the name of players involved. I do see we have a favorites feature, but in case we forget to mark someone or something like that (or if we know a friend's ID but haven't actually found them yet to mark them) it'd be good to be able to search for them.

I agree with this, a 'search' box that allows you to skip straight to the game you are looking for would be great.
For instance I have requested to join a game, now the game shows up on my homepage but when I click on it I get my character submission for review. I want to read up on the game I have applied for. I have to go through pages of stories just to find the game again so I can read it, or click on the Narrator's name and find it in the list of games that person is narrating.
A search button would make this process much easier and less time consuming.

YES definitely. Also saves anyone doubling up on something that they might like play. I think this is super important. We could find what we want this way, likeminded obsessives.

and search by name, narrator & player, etc. other relevant features. if the main play/read screen inludes a link in some way to joining a game that would also make it so much easier to find games. i think i'll write that as a suggestion.

Definitely. I feel like, somewhere in this heap, there must be a Fallout game. But I'll never find it!

Agreed! Perhaps a simple tag system to allow Narrators to add tags to the game so they can be browsed that way? There definitely needs to be a better way than just paging through the list...

I like the idea of a filtering system, so if you are looking for a certain type of game it's easier to find.

I find myself wishing for a search function as well. I'd love to be able to Search for the name of a specific game that a friend told me about, my friend herself so I can see the games she's playing on, and general search like for example, I'd like to find a zombie game, I'd like to be able to search 'Zombie' and see all the games that have that word in their description.
