narrator can make moves for retired characters
I would love to be able to take over characters that have been retired because they can't play any more. This way the narrator can keep that character in the game.

Players can now ‘hand off’ characters if they are unable to continue playing so that the narrator can find another player for them – or play them themselves.

Would love this to be an option, though I imagine it's somewhat tied in with the functionality of narrators being able to control NPCs as if they were characters rather than just scene descriptions. if that was possible, then retiring would just be a case of the player deciding whether to write their character out permanently, or to default to allow the narrator to keep that character as an NPC.
