Ability to add countdown timer on unfinished challenges
So, it seems to me that most games I'm in fizzle when a challenge has too many points on it, and the players don't know what to do with their cards. Here's my suggestion:
If a challenge has gone unanswered for a certain period of time, email the narrator. The narrator can then flag the challenge, putting a countdown timer of a day or two on it. This then sends an email to all of the players to inform them of the countdown. If the challenge doesn't get finished before the countdown runs out, it automatically finishes with a weak or uncertain outcome, and emails the narrator to tell her to write a move that wraps up the challenge.

I have encountered a similar problem, and I think in general, being able to add a timer to a challenge would help games move along. Anywhere from a day to 7 days would be helpful, and keep players from feeling stressed.
Narrators could always edit the time remaining and set when reminders are sent (24 hours before expiration, etc).

A time sensitive obstacle ticks down a red box on itself every so often (If there are 7 players, then the clock ticks after ever 5 posts). This could force a negative outcome of characters dally.

Ability to close a challenge, even if unfinished, before a scene ends. If something has a real-time deadline it could expire before a scene ends and produce an uncertain or weak outcome.
