Create special challenges that can only be completed with a specific strength.
I want to make it so everyone feels needed and like a team without anyone like using their wit to impress a character that is only impressed by magic. Not all people are in it for the story, so are in it for the game.

I want to crete characters that don't have to be part of a story.
And create various cards that I can keep in a folder and give to any character of my choosing. Basically I want to make characters that I can use to apply to any story and keep them in a folder.

Mail-in update
Instead of having to login, there should be an email api.
It would allow someone to reply to an update with a request for info, which would give character cards and the last couple updates along with the game id in the subject. A reply would allow someone to mark a card or two to be used and a text update.

Give players a way to request an author's world.
If possible, collect requests from your players for their favorite writers to be approached to contribute? Say I love David Weber's Honorverse and want to play in it. Have a way for people to collect 'nominations' for that so you can have some market research on who to approach for contributions.

Adding Conditions or Ability to Delete Cards
We encountered a problem during in one of our RPs that I accidentally took all the items , published, but I was asked to redo it. But during our play, I wasn't able to remove the acquired item or the narrator couldn't either. Is there a way to add a conditional or remove an acquired item once it's asked for revision?

Differentiate between subplot and goal icons better
The problem is that both Subplots and Goals use a flag as an icon. One is square, one triangular... but they're both still flags, and flying in the same direction.
Something a bit more clear would be nice, even if you just reversed the direction of the flag.
Personally, I would make the "challenge bullseye" icon for goals, and change challenges to using an octogon (stop sign) instead.
Goal = target = bullseye
Obstacle = octagon = Stop

A micro-wiki for keeping track of created canon
Something that would be useful for a longer-term game would be a player-viewable reference to NPCs, locations, etc. documented in the canon, probably something editable by everyone. (Perhaps this already exists, but the game we're playing is too new to use it.)
20 votesThanks for the suggestion! We are planning to do this! It will probably happen around the time of our Kickstarter campaign, sooner if we can manage. There will be wiki-like pages for both narrators and for players. Pre-built Storium worlds will come with “canon” content for both pages, and then participants will be able to add to them. Sound good?

Strengths and Weaknesses
Hello Storium,
I was reading the way strengths and weaknesses worked but there's some stuff that I am confused about. Is there a way to set that if a character has certain strength(s), they can't posses certain weakness(es) as well? And if through the course of the story they posses a weakness/strength, the narrator could do an automated or set manually that a character's strengths and weaknesses will be changed?

Save card after adding/altering image attribution
Right now, you can only save a card if you alter the text (or the image, I think). If you crop the image or add an attribution, it doesn't recognize that any changes have been made. You should be able to save after making these kinds of minor alterations without having to make false edits.

Handle newlines in "Commentary" better
When IMing, I will sometimes edit a word in the middle of the line, and then hit enter from where I am. This habit carries over to the Commentary box on Storium, but it inserts a newline where I hit enter, posts the message, and doesn't let me correct it.

Let player cards be set to One Player Only
For niche protection, I'd like to be able to set certain cards so that only one player can choose them. (I almost ended up with multiple pilots for my steampunk game.) That way there can be some clear role distinction between characters.

have a 'narrator' section for character cards
I'd like to be able to put narrator-only information on character cards (or scenes, or anything else actually). I know it looks like there's going to be a narrator-eyes-only area eventually, but it would be easier for me to be able to hide some things -on- the card so I don't have to go searching for them when it comes up in game -- like a character's full/real name, for example!

Allow an edit button for comments
Sometimes mistakes are made and it can clutter the comments when we need to clarify

Notify Narrator of unfinished characters
I was finishing up my description for a character and the narrator turned off invites. That is a lot of wasted time creating a character only to not even get it reviewed by a narrator. It leaves me feeling very frustrated and not wanting to continue to try to get into games.
There should be some way to let narrators know a player is currently filling out an application so they can let them finish.

secret votes
Allow players to secretly vote on posts they like, so the narrator can see which ones are resonating well amongst his players.

Allow putting images among text
I'd like to be able to insert images in among the text I'm writing as narrator. I know I can put in an image for the actual scene, but what if I want to show off a detail or a certain npc seperate from that?

A way to link to other users as "friends"
That way, a game can be set to "Private (friends only)" or "Private (players only)" so that friends who are not in the game cans till see it, if you want them to.
