I’m sorry you’re having trouble finding people to play with. :( Since Storium is still backers-only, the pool of available games and players is artificially small right now; we anticipate that will change when we open it up to the general public. Also, Storium’s current functionality for matching people with open games is a bit limited. We are planning to overhaul that, as well. Meanwhile, you might have better luck if you invite a few people you already know to play with you. As a backer, you can start a game and invite anyone you want. Your invitees don’t have to become backers themselves in order to play with you. I hope that helps. Thanks for your patience!

Sorry you’re having trouble getting into an active game! Our current “open invitation” system isn’t doing a good enough job of matching people up and fostering good games, so we are going to overhaul or replace it shortly.
Until then, you might try recruiting people you know via social media (twitter, facebook, G+, etc) — basically ask around among friends and see if you an find a group of people who are interested in playing. You can then invite them to join you on Storium!
