Sorry about what happened! Until recently, a narrator could delete a game at any time, which caused everything — including characters — to be deleted. We recently changed this, so you shouldn’t have this happen to you again.

In the future (hopefully for our Gamma release) you’ll be able to rejoin a game after leaving it. We’re not sure yet about bringing a retired character into a different game, but we are thinking about it!

Thanks for the response. My character didn't actually get deleted by the narrator (though the entire game was deleted a bit later, so he would have been then). I retired him when we all agreed to end the game. And I guess I just assumed that "retired" meant I could still access him somehow, not that he was "dead." And gone, gone, gone. I assumed retired meant just that. Out of service, but still around. I figured there would be a place for them to do. Like, on your profile page, there would be a place for them.

I realize now that's not the case, and I understand if it can't be the case, but I'm just sad that the little guy is no longer accessible. I didn't think to save his character bio and such somewhere else and now I can't. It'd be great to be able to access old characters, is all. But I save them all elsewhere now, too, so it can't happen again. This works, but a retired section on the profile page would rock.
