Allow narrators select Strengths and Weaknesses from those that exist
Reading through the starter stories, I expected that I'd be able to select these.
1 voteWe’ve just redesigned the character creation process so that when a player selects a Character Type from one of our starter worlds, the corresponding suggested Strength and Weakness cards are also automatically selected. This functionality is not yet available for custom worlds but it will be in the future!

FYI this is now done! You can now remove a character (and thus their player) from a game. This is done from the game edit page. If the game hasn’t started yet, the character can be deleted. If the game has already started, the character can be “retired”, which preserves the character itself (so the story still makes sense historically) but removes the player from the game.

Just a simple typo
On the "How to play Storium" page, in the 3rd paragraph of the "Finishing a scene" section, it seems like you either want "create" or "inspire" but not both.
1 voteWhoops, thanks a bunch for finding that! We’ll have it fixed shortly.

Outcome confirmation
One of my players misunderstood the process and picked an outcome for his scene before writing his final text, rather than the other way round, which meant that he couldn't actually write any details of how things went wrong.
Could you include a confirmation step before processing an outcome, something like 'Are you sure you wish to choose this outcome? Choosing an outcome will end the scene and no further text can be written.'
That would help head off mistakes like this, and maybe prompt players to think about the most appropriate outcome before proceeding.
1 voteThis should no longer be an issue, since in Alpha 2 outcomes are a part of moves.

Micro bug - Deleting an invitation you submitted to yourself is impossible.
If you invite yourself to a game you're narrating and try to delete the invitation afterwards, you get a "Page Not Found" black screen of pain (and the invitation does not disappear).
1 voteFYI, this is now fixed! Please let us know if you encounter any further issues like this.

Thanks for the extra information. This sounds like a image upload timeout. This happens sometimes (though rarely) when uploading a large image, or when the internet connection between you and our servers is momentarily slow. This should be very unusual, but if you notice this happen again please do let us know. And thanks very much for reporting it!

Check for compatibility with browsers / mobile devices
Trying to set up my first game, and I'm on an Android tab using Chrome browser. As I'm trying to fill out fields for the game setup (title and description l, every attempt I've made so far presents me with a greyed-over screen and no field to fill in. Getting too fancy with your HTML...? Test for compatibility with mobile devices and a variety of browsers.
Will retry on a desktop or laptop.

Making more use of Scene cards
Right now, Scene cards don't do much - they set a location, yes, but then they just sit there.
It'd be interesting if, rather than being a Narrator-only tool, Scene cards could be taken up (or given to) players, much as Thing and Goal cards are.
Then in later scenes, players could use those cards to move the story back to that location, or to make the location relevant in some way to the action.
(There's also room there to use them so that players can start scenes, rather than always reacting to the Narrator's setup, but that's probably too…
1 voteAlpha 2 changes the way cards work, including Place cards. Please take a peek and let us know what you think.

Rethink the order of background and character card
On creating a character, it was difficult to shoehorn the concept/motivations/background I had invented into an existing character card. If a pre-determined universe of concepts are important, or even desired, it might be worthwhile presenting the character card menu before asking the player to write a background.
1 voteWe’ve just re-designed the character creation process. Card selection is now the first step!

Allow invitation of multiple players at once
Typing in each email individually and writing (or in my case copy/pasting) personal messages is probably not the most efficient way to do invitations.
2 votesFYI you can now invite multiple people at once, separated by commas. You can also invite both existing users (using their Storium username) and new users (using their email address).

make avatars an option
If you are not wanting to do that then post the restrictions somewhere in the box for the avatar.
Is it the same as the cards?
I also am having the uploader just sit there. I tried a file that was 112kb and then one that was 5.7 kb and it is just sitting there.1 vote -
Clarify invitations
While inviting people to a game, I'm unsure how to invite people who are already Storium members. I tried entering my friend's username under "email". If that is how it works the words "Username or Email" would be helpful, I think.

Manage vs Edit
This is very minor, but I'd recommend having a different icon for editing content (e.g. a character or campaign bio) and managing content (e.g seeing whether invited players have agreed to join a campaign). They're different things and using the same pen (edit) icon invites confusion.
1 voteThis is now done. We are using a “wrench” icon for managing game settings.

review messages sent out
Also, at least one person I invited found her invitation in her spam folder. I don't know what you can do to affect this, but you might look into it.

add a reset your password option to the website for when one forget your password
I went to log in from another computer and forgot my password, Now I can only log in from one machine and I can't reset my password cause I don't recall the original.
1 voteIf you log out of Storium and then click the “Log in” button on our homepage, you’ll see a link that says “Forgot your password?” Clicking this allow you to reset your password.

Offer suggestions for descriptions on new stories
When you create a new story, offer a few suggestions for what to put into the "description" field. These would essentially be story ideas suitable for the genre that can (a) show what types of stories players can play with this deck, (b) give narrators an easy entry point and the ability to just "click and go", and (c) give narrators some inspiration rather than a blank slate.
1 voteFYI, when you create a new game by choosing one of our starter worlds, your game now automatically gets a default description. You can then edit it as much as you like, but the requirement itself is automatically met.

List of Games
I'd like to be be able to navigate the the games in which I am participating from my profile page, or some other page like that.
1 voteLOL, cool, thanks! Very glad you like it. Please don’t hesitate to share any feedback you think of, and have fun!

Change the Outcome example popup
When I click on 'Outcome' and then on the examples, the popup window expands so far that I can't actually scroll down to click on a choice. I have to close the window and re-select. (The scroll bar is still scrolling the underlying page.)
1 voteThis should be fixed now, thanks for the report and sorry for the trouble.

Make a facebook page for Storium.
I'm having trouble hooking up with players, and if folks are already using storium, a facebook page would be a great way to recruit players. Just saying.

We’ll add more to this page in the near future.
