  1. Clearly show how to reposition game image

It's difficult to tell that the "Crop" button can be used to reposition the image as well. I thought that the site had auto-cropped my image to what was visible, and that was unfortunate because the top of the arch was cut off. I was about to dart off to an image editor when it occurred to me to hit the "Crop" button, at which point I realized the whole image was there and I could pick what was displayed.

  2. Allow for editing of commentary

It'd be nice to fix typos or edit for clarity. Maybe a time limit before commentary becomes fixed in stone?

  3. Allow invites and spectators

This is similar to the "allow followers" idea already entered, but would allow a GM to send an invite to a user to participate as a spectator, or (I guess) a "follower", able to read all through a game and possibly post comments (if given that permission by the GM), but not to post moves or the like.

Thanks for the suggestion! The plan is to soon allow you to open up your game to outside viewers, so invites won’t be necessary. It will instead be a switch that the narrator can throw to either keep the game private to its participants or open to anyone who has the URL.

  4. Adds

It was better when the adds were not in the middle of the story and maybe better at the bottom

  5. add some more example opening scenes.

The example opening scenes says that the game's source deck includes one or more, but the Urban Fantasy opening scenes don't appear to go with the game.

  6. Catalog of Cards for Narrators

I'm currently working on setting up a game. None of the prebuilt scenarios are quite what I want, so I started a completely new game with the intention of building it myself. However, when you do that, the Narrator has to create ALL the cards involved, at least as far as I could tell. That's a daunting amount of work.

It would help if the narrator had like a checklist or something of existing cards, even just the player cards like the Archetypes, Strengths, and Weaknesses, where we could select what we want to include. That would also allow us…

When you’re creating a new card, look for the “Choose an existing card” tab near the top of the window. This will let you choose cards from any of our starter worlds. You’re free to mix and match as much as you like.

As for sharing your custom worlds, this is definitely part of the future we have planned for Storium!

  7. Allow Narrator to Award Karma during a scene

I just received my first round of moves from all the players, and the quality of the responses varies. I'd like to award karma to reward thoughtful and well-written moves.

Just a thought. I haven't completed the scene yet, so it might just be easier to award the karma then.

    Some UI change suggestions!
I'd love to see this URL http://storium.com/how_to_play linked to the top menu somehow, it's super important.

Also, by default, it takes you to storium.com/# , which is a different (and smaller) view than storium.com/ : The former does not have News, Start a Game button, etc.

    Thanks!

  9. Improve character dialogue

RIght now character dialogue is a challenge. Each main character is controlled by an individual player - to have true "back and forth" dialogue either I have to start writing for another player's character or we have to only have one exchange a turn. Writing for another player's character is probably counterproductive given Storium's strong (and useful) push towards important character decisions being the bailiwick of their individual players.

Here are some ideas for this (although all have their downsides too):

1 - A chat tool that can pop up a mini-dialogue between two (or more) characters, like a 'mini-turn'…

These are great suggestions, thanks! It’s not super clear right now, but you can use Moves to conduct dialog. Every player can make as many Moves as they like in a scene, and in any order. So it’s easy to say something to one character, have them respond, and so forth.

We are going to come up with some better language here so things are clearer. Sorry for the confusion!

  11. Make a stories that are based on animes.

I am asking this because I was trying to make one from scratch about the anime, Sword Art Online, and I can't figure it out. I think it would be a great idea.
