Get rid of automated prompts & "hey there speedy" message.
The system right now applies pressures that it really shouldn't to players. There are times when some players will need to be gone for RL issues, and having the system pester them will create stress and avoidance in the pestered player. There are other times when one player is looking to catch up with the action, and the system shouldn't discourage them from doing so. The narrator can politely ask for speed adjustments if they need to, having an automated system to nag and/or discourage them isn't a good idea.

Yes, please get rid of those automated prompts. They are very annoying. Sometimes, you _want_ to have two characters conversing with each other for a bit. We're the writers. Please trust us to know, at least in general, what will help a story flow best.

Just to clarify a few things for everyone:
- A key feature of Storium (which has been there from the very beginning, in July of last year) is the game pacing mechanism. When you create a game, you choose a desired speed of play. The system then automatically sends reminder emails to players who fall behind that expected pace. Again, this is how the game has worked since it's very earliest days, and data shows that it is highly effective in helping people keep their games moving in the face of the distractions of everyday life. If you don't want these notifications to be sent, you can simply set your game speed to "Casual" and they'll be deactivated.
- Pokes are totally controlled by users and are never sent without someone choosing to do it. They are a simple way for players and narrators to "nudge" folks who have maybe forgotten to make a move.
- The "hey there speedy" language was changed last month to make it less obtrusive. This is what it says now:
"Moving again? Cool! You’re free to move as often as you like, but just keep in mind that not all of your fellow players have made their own move yet in this scene.
It's good to leave room in the story for others to chip in, too. Do you want to continue anyway?"Players who trigger this message will see it at most once per scene.
Just wanted to make sure it was clear what the current functionality is. I understand that the request of this ticket is to make the functionality optional.

Well never sent a poke except for one experimental try, I mean :P But, not in that game.

There are messages sent when nobody pokes, because I have *never* sent a poke and people have gotten a "don't forget to make a move" notification.
Also there are 'Sure you want to make a move yet?' as well as the hey there speedy, which also discourages players from posting.
All in all we should either have the ability to turn them off or just get rid of them. Either way I'm happy. I think it's the least I can do as narrator to just talk to people and ask them to help me out if I have a problem with their pace.

As far as I know, only the "hey there speedy" ones are automated. The prompts to write a move come from the narrator or another player "poke"-ing you.
