Take narrator from absent narrator/ pass narrator
It would be nice for players who want to continue the game to be able to 'take over' the narrator role once their narrator has been absent for a certain amount of time. (Say a month or two) It would also be nice for narrators who don't have time to continue, or don't want to continue, to pass the narrator role to one of the players who would like it. This might cut down on the number of abandoned games.
1 voteNarrators can now hand off narrations to other users if they are unable to continue narrating.
The Host of a game can hand over the role to a new narrator at any time.

Edit moves with approval
It's silly that narrators and players can't edit simple typos after a new post has been made. If the concern is players changing the content of their move, simply require narrator approval on such edits.
1 votePlayers can now edit moves with a Revision Request if the scene is active; once a scene has finished they can edit their moves without narrator approval.

Ability to change the narrator
Ability to create a story (title, cards, etc) and have someone else take over as the narrator.
This would allow someone with a good story idea to create the story but still be able to play a character with strengths and weaknesses, earning points along with the other players.
7 votesUsers can now ‘hand off’ a game to another Host or Narrator if they don’t wish to narrate it themselves. Thanks!

Make narrators able to make character sheets too
Sometimes the narrator needs to make characters too, either to help the plot along or just to toss a little something into the pot. It would be really useful both for the narrator and the players if said characters could also have a character card, just in case anyone needs to reference it.
5 votesIn Gamma, narrators can make characters in their own games.

Character (Player) is typing. Words remaining: xxx Time typing: xxx
I have seen people comment in several games about the annoyance of submitting a long narrative only to have it essentially negated by the narrative of another player who submitted only moments before. Perhaps there could be dynamic feedback that a player is currently typing; maybe even with a word countdown (if that game has a word limit) or timer (simply as a reference) to let other players know that the typist is (potentially) nearing the end of their narrative.
6 votesThere is now a notification on game pages whenever a player is typing a move. Users are also prompted to refresh the page when new content has been added.

Ordering of games on the homepage
On the player's homepage, be able to have the games show up in an order specified either by the player or which games have been more active. The order of the games corresponding to which one was last to have activity or which one is requiring attention from the player or something like that. Since I'm active in more than one or two games, sometimes scrolling through the games I'm playing to find the one that I specifically want to check in is difficult. It's not necessarily a thing that needs to be fixed/done soon, but being able to define…

Game speed based search
I really want to play as fast as I can, but generally its kinda hard to find hardcore games, especially when I have to click the game to check. I think it'd be nice to add game speed to the search filter thingy. So when i'm Looking for games to play I can look through the hardcore games and ONLY the hardcore games.
7 votesPlayers can now search by Game Speed via the Looking for Players page. Thanks!

narrator can make moves for retired characters
I would love to be able to take over characters that have been retired because they can't play any more. This way the narrator can keep that character in the game.
1 votePlayers can now ‘hand off’ characters if they are unable to continue playing so that the narrator can find another player for them – or play them themselves.

Character Recovery after game termination
I've played in two games now that have disappeared, presumably deleted by the narrator. I find this distressing since I worked hard on the characters I put into the games and to have them gone suddenly is very disappointing.
When a narrator deletes a game, each player's character should be e-mailed to them so they can keep a record of it if they wish, in the same way if a character is declined for a story.
12 votesNarrator can no longer delete games outright. Instead, they can “suspend” them, in which case the game is halted but nothing is deleted or removed.

After character creation, make it easier to review other characters' backgrounds
When we click on other characters once they're created, we can't see their detailed background, just their name, picture, and cards. There should be a way to see their character detail page from this. So far my only workaround is to use the character creation URL: https://storium.com/character/in/the-borghast-chaosium/create
1 voteIf you click on the character’s name in those pop-ups, you’ll be taken to their full character sheet.

Provide for URLs in Story Descriptions
Sometimes, story information is offsite- the current subset of markdown that you are utilizing doesn't seem to support links- at least, not in the story descriptions.
1 voteLinks are supported in story descriptions, forum posts, and narrator and player moves. It can be done with the following formatting:
[link text](www.example.com)
Thanks!

Don't close the game description dropbox when I click on it!
The only way to see my GM's description of the game is to drop it down from the game header. He's embedded a URL in that text to a page with more information. However, when I click on that URL to select it for copying and pasting it intp my browser, the window closes! This is very irritating. Alternatives would be to only close the window if a user clicks on the arrow at the bottom, or provide a standard Close button, or to provide a normal page for the game description.
1 voteThe Game Description box now will stay open unless the arrow tab at the bottom is clicked.

Allow games to be marked as testbeds.
Let a narrator tag a game as a testbed (or sandbox), which will let the narrator and any included players try things out. Then, allow testbed games to be deleted instead of suspended.
The reasoning is that a person cannot try out the GM tools without jumping straight into running a game, and even if the GM creates a second Storium account for the purposes of running a one-person game, the game is still scheduled to be marked as Suspended until the end of time.
Alternately, allow a game to be deleted instead of suspended if a threshold of votes…
3 votesUsers can now try the narration tutorial to get an idea of how the Storium tools work: https://storium.com/help/tutorials
Games can now be deleted depending on the game license chosen at the beginning: https://storium.com/deletions
Thanks.

Allow Narrators to retire a game
It seems like right now, the only way to permanently end a game is to delete it? Unless I'm completely missing an option, I don't see how a narrator can archive the game (get it off their main page and let the players know the story is done) without deleting it.
10 votesNarrator can now “suspend” a game, which halts any further changes or moves. The game is not deleted and all links continue to work.

Is there a way to turn off requested revisions?
After a player has made an adjustment or just because you change your mind. I could not find a way to do it. Is it still in development?
1 voteA player can re-save their original post to banish the revision request.

The Character List should be accessible as the page scrolls
Once a scene gets to be long enough to scroll the page, it's annoying to have to scroll all the way back to the top of the page to see the character list. It would be nice if the characters were accessible without scrolling.
PS - Keep up the great work. Loving it so far!

Show narrators how many cards each of the characters has played
As a narrator It'd be nice to have a running total of how many cards each character has played. This way I'd know who is holding things up and I'd also be able to tailor secondary challenges to the characters still able to address them.
1 voteThe Activity Summary at the bottom of the game page now shows each player’s activity and how many cards, if any, they have played into challenges.

Include a character archive
Hi, there,
I just registered and donated, and I joined up to a couple of stories. One of them I'm playing, and was rejected from the other. I was quite proud of that character, and I was wondering if a character archive (i.e. characters that you're playing/have played/have applied with) could be made available either in our personal settings or profiles?
Thanks for reading.
Andy.
6 votesIn Gamma, when your application to a game is denied, your character is preserved on a separate page. You can leave it there, or delete it.

An "Are You Sure" Warning
Before you discard a draft, maybe have an "are you sure" warning come up. Just in case one accidentally hits the button.

Character creation pages for in-progress stories don't link back to the actual story.
I just created a character for an in-progress story. Now my dashboard only links to the character creation pages (not the story in progress), and there is also no link to the story-in-progress within the character creation pages. This is a bit of an annoying interface bug, especially with the lack of search box to let me just pull up the story that way.
6 votesHomepages now bring players to the Green Room for a game, from which the game page can be viewed.
