Transfer Asset Cards
One character should be able to give their asset cards to another character - for example in a story I'm playing one character gave a key card to another. It would be great if that character could also transfer the card rather than play it.
1 voteYou can! When making a move, just click on “Browse your cards”, click on the Asset, and choose the character to give it to!

Change 'Poke' term
This may be too nitpicky, but I feel 'Poke' has largely become associated with Facebook. Unless that's an association you're trying to enforce with Storium, too, might I suggest changing the term to something like 'Prod' or 'Nudge'?
1 voteThe wording is now ‘nudge’ players or narrators. Thanks!

Indicate when someone else is writing a move
It would be nice to know when someone else is typing something, so we don't cross post or step on each others' toes.
Really loving it so far!
25 votesGame pages now display when another player is writing a move to prevent posting overlap. Thanks!

Managing invitation
It's really hard to manage game and invitation, simpler to explain by example :
I re-open invitation on my game, a person applied, but the character doesn't fit really well, so I asked her to change it a little bit, she answers me (got an email notification) but there is no way I can reply to her.
1 voteAll dialogue between narrator and player is now preserved on the character bio page so changes and edits can be discussed.

Have different structures for Narrator duties (allow collaborative narration)
Not an immediate need, but I feel like I would have more enthusiasm for inviting friends into Storium if there was a way to have narration duties be more freeform, rather than the only the "Each Character controls only one character and the rest of the world is One Omniscient GM" model.
1 voteRotating narration is now enabled for games, allowing users to share narration duties between themselves.

allow for users to change their usernames
I realized I would have been better off with a different username and now I can't change it. :) I may not be the only on in this predicament.
1 voteUsers can email support@storium.com if they have a compelling reason to need to change their usernames.

Character Submission
When character's are being reviewed by the narrator, any attempt to click on the game brings you back to your character; and so there's not a way to click on the story name and see who else has submitted characters.
1 votePlayers should be able to visit the game’s Green Room during the character application process and view the game info, other applications, etc. Thanks!

Allow player to read a story he joined when he's not accepted yet
As I can see, I favorite some stories, I created some stories and I apply on some stories that already start and some that didnt yet.
But when I wanna look at all this, it's confusing. (sorry it's simpler to explain this via example)
I apply on a story that is already start (which in the first place was not really clear - it should be announce in bold, maybe automatically close inscription when the story start, and if the narrator which to re-open invitation, he must write a simple explication. eg. : some players leave, we need X, Y,…
1 voteUsers can now read a story in progress even if they have a character application submitted. The ‘Read’ button in the banner will take them to the story page, or they can reach it through the Green Room.

Create a Database for Members
I have a lot of friends who I'd like to hook up with on here, but other than joining/creating a game and then telling them which one via email or other social media, I can't contact them. It would be cool if you could not only open a game to all comers, but also have the ability to invite people via the site (like a profile inbox or tag). The downside would be that it could get sort of cliquish, I suppose. But, if there's a way to do it and not cut people out... that would be great. Thanks…
1 voteNarrators can now invite users directly via their Storium username or their email.

It would be nice if there was a way to reread the original stories pitch when creating a character
Sometimes while making a character, I'll forget a certain aspect of what the Narrator's story is about or where it takes place. I would edit this later, but once a characters submitted, it doesn't allow me to go back and read the story or see what other characters there are until my character is accepted, and then can be a nuisance.
2 votesUsers with applications in process will always have the option to return to the Green Room and game information – it will be displayed as a link on the left-hand side of the screen.

Character players should be granted the abillity to modify their character right up until game launch.
Prior to launch of the game (all players in), players should be granted the ability to modify the character that they designed. I am unable to give my character a last name, no other players have created their character out of 5.
3 votesUsers are now able to edit their characters and cards any time after they’ve been accepted into a game. Thanks!

Narrator Moves for Dialog
Right now, if I understand this correctly, Dialog between players is handled as a series of Moves. But the Narrator cannot make Moves, so any NPCs cannot participate in Dialog without creating another storium account, which messes up the point calculations and metafiction.
I think Narrators should be able to post Moves as well, so that they can interact with players without having to end the scene, write a comment, then start a new one, because that'd just be crazy for talking to an NPC.
5 votesThe equivalent of a narrator “move” is when they continue the scene. In that context, narrators can fully participate in dialog. In Gamma, narrators can also create their own characters, if so desired.

Cleaner Comments/Forum for each story
Is there anyway that the commentary section for each story could be its own page attached to the story? Its hard to scroll up and catch up on all the comments in a little sidebar.
Is it could be in a forum style so that the writers for the stories can develop ideas better and keep conversation topics seperate.
1 voteThe Green Room Discussion tab is a separate comment forum from the page-related comments and can be used for any chat the players and narrator feel is necessary.

Clarify how closely a Move corresponds to a Challenge
I was having a discussion with one of my friends and we are at odds as to how closely you're supposed to write a Move when having it address a Character Challenge. He is under the impression that the Move can be almost anything nominally related to the Character, and I feel that the Move should be more describing how your character is furthering the Challenge in some kind of apparent-to-the-reader way.
3 votesThe Player Guide outlines how to address a challenge with a character move here: https://storium.com/help/making-moves#anatomy-of-a-move

Amendments to existing cards
You seem to be able to amend the text of character cards but not the strengths and weaknesses outcomes. I wanted to have an important character be female but not male and whilst I was able to change the name and description text I couldn't change the strong and weak outcomes - they remained using he.
Could this be changed?
1 voteNarrators are now able to edit the outcome text for challenges (either active or finished). Thanks.

make the rules about copyrighted content more obvious.
I was looking for the rules/guidelines about copyrighted content and didn't know it wasn't allowed until I read another feedback item about it. I feel like this site will attract a lot of roleplayers, who are in the habit of playing in existing canons, using other people's art and photography to portray their characters, etc.. While branching outside of that pattern is a useful creative exercise many should be willing to undertake with your storytelling tools, it should be more obvious that they'll have to do so!
3 votesIn Gamma we have added a statement about third-party IP, in our Legal section.

Delete a Scene Continuation (Narrator)
I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to make it so a Narrator can delete scene continuations. If, for example, I publish one before I notice not all the players have moved yet, and want to give more players the chance to play and interact. Right now I can edit it to say "deleted" and manually delete all the content, but then Storium wont save it to edit and republish later. A delete button could still save the content to republlsh, and make deleting more seamless for the audience reading the story later.
1 voteNarrators are now able to delete a scene continuation as long as it is the most recent entry in the game. The content is not auto-saved so be sure to manually save it if you will be using it in future.

Add a feature to invite review & comment on a world before opening to play
I'm working on a custom game world, but I'm not all that confident in it yet. I'd like to open it up, invite some review & comments on it before I try starting a game with it.
15 votesUsers are able to circulate games for review and comments before publishing them for applications through the Green Room. Thanks!

Allow editing of assets after giving them to characters
As a narrator, I noticed that I can edit challenges and characters after playing them on the scene. That's handy!
However, I am unable to edit assets after giving them to characters. So, to tweak them, I have to un-give them all, edit, then re-give. Otherwise, they don't appear in the set of available assets where I would usually edit them. It would be nice if I could edit these assets after giving.
8 votesIn Gamma, narrators can edit cards at any time, even if they’ve been given to players.

Archive/Delete abandoned games
Please include a method to make games disappear from my games list. It's annoying to have a lot of abandoned/inactive games on the list.
6 votesIn Gamma, you can completely customize the list of games shown on your homepage. You can remove games you don’t want to see, and you can set the order they are listed.
