    The cast list actually is fixed in location, but only up to 4 players. After that, we can’t be sure that everything will fit on the screen, and if it didn’t then there would be no way to view the content that spills over. So in those cases we have to make the cast list scroll with the rest of the page so that we can ensure that everything will be visible. Make sense?

    Oh, yeah. I've encountered this problem in a somewhat different context in web development before, and can certainly see why having a scroll bar for the cast list might not be as intuitive as having it for commentary.
