Add on-site access to approval options for new characters
Inside a created game, if I've invited a player, I see no option or link on either the "Play" page or "Edit" page to request changes to a character. While I've invited these people, I need to be able to request character changes if required. I need to go to my email to find that option.
1 voteThanks for the report; this is a bug and should be fixed later today!

Bug: "Don't forget to make a move in ..." link broken
[from the notifications] It currently points back to the storium homepage rather than the game in question. Not a biggie for me (or anyone else I'd guess) but it'd be nice to have fixed.

start at the beginning of a story in "browse" mode.
When i am browsing other people's stories, it seems odd that I'd be taken to the most recent chapter / scene. I'm most likely wanting to read the story from the beginning as a "reader" to get caught up. If I then eventually get to the current scene, remember this fact say in my profile / cookie and when i come back to this story, jump to the last place I was. Almost like how Amazon Kindle remembers where you were in a book.
2 votesGame pages will now load at the latest-read point; if you have not visited the page before it will take you to the beginning of the story. Thanks!

Let us see more details about a game
It feels a bit clunky to have to start the character creation process before you find out whether a game is fast or slow paced. Maybe an icon on the games banner might help
5 votesThe Green Room now allows narrators to list game speed, expectations and other information for potential applicants.

create a tally for challenge spots left versus cards left in play.
We are finding in our somewhat large game (8 players plus narrator) that it is difficult to know how many playable spots are left on challenges versus how many cards are left in play. The narrator in particular could use that information to ensure they don't overload the scene with challenges, and it may be useful to players, as well, in gauging when a scene might wrap up.
Implementation suggestions:
-Three on/off pips beside the avatars in the cast list on the left that toggle with each card played; helpful for deciding which remaining challenges make the most sense when…
4 votesThe Activity Summary at the bottom of the game page now lists all player card counts (played/limit) and current challenges (pips filled/total) for easier calculations.

fix editing pic Attributions
"Save" button is grayed out, so pic Attributions can't be edited after creation.

Allow narrator role to be granted to a different player
If a narrator no longer wants to run the story, it would be great if that person could make one of the story's players (or anyone willing) the new narrator so the story doesn't go unfinished.
1 voteNarrators are now able to ‘hand off’ their games to another user if they no longer wish to continue narrating them. Thanks!

The starting Strength and Weakness cards are non-specific.
The starting strength and weakness cards are less specific and just echo the 'nature' of the character. The cards might just say something such as 'You use your natural talents successfully' (Strength) or 'Your natural talents fail you' (weakness).
I have found that trying to write a move around a strength or weakness that shows a very specific aspect of the character that might not be relevant to the current scene can lead to very artificial and contrived moves.
Having the initial strength/weakness cards be a bit like 'jokers' that can be used to represent any of the traits etc…
1 votePlayers can choose or create any starting cards they want, so if they want more general cards they can create them (or choose from the narrator cards).

allow for variable 'power levels' via narrator control of strength/weaknesses
We need narrator control of how many initial strength/weaknesses cards in case someone wants to run a high powered fantasy or superhero story, or wants more itemization.
1 voteNarrators are now able to set their players’ starting card limits, including a ‘Gritty’ and ‘Heroic’ setting that increases their weak or strong card counts. Thanks!

make it much more obvious how to find narrator's profile
I found how to reach a narrator's profile (the drop-down "drawer" on the main screen) but it took me ?two minutes? of searching.
1 voteA link to the narrator’s profile can always be found through their avatar or through the story drop-down tab, or in the Activity Summary at the bottom of the page.

Allow for 'brief' and 'detailed' story summaries.
When checking story listings, it would help to provide a basic summary to those perusing around for a story, and then a secondary area for more detailed explanations once you enter a story. That way, the search listings don't get clogged with tons of exposition and guidelines...
1 voteGames on the Looking for Players list now have a short introductory section and then further text fields for things like info for applicants, host’s rules, etc when you enter the Green Room.

https://storium.com/game/player-narrator-discussion
a discussion about playing Storium, lots of suggestions coming it looks like, you may have read slot of the before, just letting you know there's one more place to look, and get to see what's sort of things the players and narrators are thinking of. thanks

Advise players not to write for other characters
Players putting words, actions, and reactions of others in one's writing has been bad form and a source of serious animosity for a very long time in cooperative storytelling. It can work out well enough for a little while, but eventually results in reversals of others' intent. Wouldn't it be better to emphasize playing your own character, and letting others control their reactions? Right now this isn't clearly stated and may cause some conflicts, especially once people have more time to get attached to their creations.
1 voteNarrators are able to specify how much players are able to write for NPCs, other players, etc in the ‘Collaboration style’ tab in the Green Room.

Bug: Browse games restricted
When browsing games by any category the selection is limited to around 20 pages. I know there are more games than that out there and I'd like to be able to look at them.

Allow players/narrators to "tag" other actors for the next action
In games with more than about 3 players, the narrative flow is often disjointed and jumbled because everyone is contributing at once. If one player asks a direct question of another player, there's an expectation that the other player will respond. Other players should be able to interrupt or take the narrative in another direction, but the game should warn them that another player is expected to act.
3 votesNarrators and players can tag players by username in the comments or in the Green Room if they wish to get their attention/notify them of the action.

Notify players when the narrator places a new challenge in an existing scene
This would notify the players that a new challenge has been issued and that they have something to do. At the moment an email is sent saying the narrator continued the scene but the players who have already posted may ignore it thinking they won't have more to do. At the moment the way to do this is to start a new scene which sometimes doesn't fit in with the narrative.
1 voteNotifications now tell players when a challenge/challenges have been added to an existing scene. Thanks!

Show the feedback/request-changes form on the character info page
I had trouble finding the form to request changes to a character one player created. It's not accessible from the game itself, i.e. the character info page. I finally figured out I could get to it by going back to the Storium home page and clicking on the announcement on the left.
2 votesCharacter pages now display feedback/request changes fields for narrators and can be accessed via their profile.

Go mobile!
Mobile access would be awesome.
1 voteStorium already works well with most tablets and smartphones. As part of our Kickstarter funding we plan to improve it further!

Open to replacement players or minor characters
The only option at this point is for a game to remain open to new characters. Sometimes there is a dropout or a narrator would like a walk-through NPC type player. Can there be a separate category for this?
1 voteGames can be reopened at any time for new applicants.
