  2. Continued enrollment

It would be functional to allow new players to enter a ongoing game, especially among friends it can lead to some twists of the story with an informed member. Obviously this would also allow for people left out at the start to join as well.

  3. Give special membership to players who post lots of great advice.

I'm only half joking here, cause I've been tossing up ideas. But there are a number of great Ideas flying here from the players who already love the game. How about throwing a little something something back for those who are prolific in their ideas, or quantity of ideas?

Nothing big, I would personally love to get a Narrator bit so I can build some of the world Ideas I have.

Users who volunteer to be Mentors and provide guidance to new players and the community as a whole are given complimentary membership. Thanks for the suggestion!

  4. Easier World/Game Navigation

I play in one game and narrate another. It seems like there should be a more fluid way of switching which game I am viewing or working in than to go back to the home page, and then select the other world. Maybe something in the username "dropdown" at the top of the page?

  5. i shouldn't need to enter my email address to give feedback when logged in

When I give my first comment in a ?browser session, I'm prompted for my email address. After that it seems to remember it. Why?

The Uservoice system is separate from a user’s Storium account; they will need to create their own Uservoice account in order to leave feedback.

  6. Add a delete option for moves.

    Admin,

It would be super helpful if, not only could we edit our moves later (incase of typos or more serious mistakes), but if we could also delete them.

In my games as narrator I have had to have players 0 out their moves because deleting was nessisary, but there was no option. Sadly I think this also contributed to (not caused) my game loosing some steam. If I could have the player delete the move another player might step up and keep the momentum, but I am forded to either help the player with the rewrite they don't wanna…

  7. give narrators a single link for inviting players

Currently we have to email our players to invite them. It would be nice to have a "or give them this link" option for if we don't know their email addresses and having to go around and wait for all of them to give their emails to you.

  8. Include the opportunity to add more characters in later scene

I think you should let the narrator have the option to open the story for applications further into the game. This could introduce the idea that not all the cast are introduced at the same time, and new important characters (controlled by new players) can join the action at a later date. It might mean that certain stories that you follow which you really like might open applications at a later date; imagine the excitement of getting to join one of your favourite films or TV shows, it would be like that!

  9. Why not approved?

Not sure if there's an option for this already (I haven't seen it, but also haven't gotten brave enough to narrate) but it would be handy to have either a drop-down with some general reasons or a text box to explain why a character got the "no thanks" nod. I think that would be especially helpful so folks could "learn the ropes" or better understand why a character they thought would rock in the story really didn't fit.

  10. Typo

    World: The Elephant King
    Place: MATHRUMHA SUM
Text: A broken castle build by Interlopers
Should be: A broken castle built by Interlopers

Unless they actually had plans (a build) for broken castles abandoned only at withdrawal. Admittedly, broken castles add to the scene an give it an ancient look, and on moving to another place they might need a different style of broken castle. I just doubt that's what you meant. :)

  11. Make discovering the actual story pages easier

Once I finished creating my character, it seemed impossible to actually get to the story page, and I only discovered by accident a link to the ongoing narrative, which I didn't even realize had started. These links should be more prominent.

Each game has a Green Room and a Game page that are simple to switch between so that applicants can see the game as well as the behind the scenes information.

  12. Display submitted character count on game browser

When browsing games, you don't see how many characters have been submitted. A game might look as if there's little interest or there are still places available, though once you go ahead and join, you find out there's a long list of pending characters, and the odds for you to join are slim.

It would be interesting to see in the browser how many characters have been submitted in order to gauge interest and available seats in a game.

Also, having to cancel once you find this out is bothersome. I'd put the join button one level deeper, and just…

  13. Enable character cards to be written by the author before play begins.

I'm far less interested in unlocking any more worlds than I am in some of the functions that are not yet functioning for world writers. I would be really excited if I could write some premade characters and supply background information for players. I'm very interested in creating worlds, not playing in someone else's world...

  14. allow players to edit their bios

As more information comes up through gameplay it would be helpful to consolidate all of it within a character's bio, so I think unlimited editing could be helpful, just for the summary.

  16. Feedback: missing or not finding contact possibilities

    Hi,

just joined Storium and find it difficult to work towards an invitation to a game. Because it's new (and maybe also because I am not a native English speaker), I'd like to start as a player. I have already found some favorite games I'd like to join but I don't find how to contact the narrator if I don't know her or him and there's no twitter contact given.

By the way intro and explanation are great.

    So far my first feedback

Users are now able to contact each other via the Private Messaging system. Narrators can also open their game Lobbies for player inquiries on open games.

  17. make it a lot easier to navigate to the game page

For any game the user has created a character for, even ones where the character is not yet approved, put an obvious button/link on the form that will navigate them to the game page.

    Here's the current user experience:
    - I created a character for the game "Flux"
    - I go to the Storium homepage and see a link to Flux.
    - The link takes me to the character created page.
    - I want to see what's going on in the game, which other characters have joined it and so on, but there's no button or link to take me…

  18. Set Games Open/Closed to New Players?

Right now I see there are some public games, and it tells me how far along they are, but I'm not sure if those narrators are open to new players. Maybe make a way for Narrators to set out a message saying 'We're far along, but new players welcome--you can be added in this/that such a way.' Or 'We're far along, but new characters may or may no be accepted based on what you're proposing. We're not looking for X, Y and Z, but we do need an A, B or C.'

  20. A way to highlight games whose applications never close

I really want to provide a game with rolling admissions, but after the game is open for a few days, I suspect it will end up too far back in the games section for anyone to find. Is there a possibility for a 'bump mechanism'? (one that could not be overused) or some other way to highlight 'always open' games?

Narrators can close and re-open applications manually – this will elevate the game back to the top of the Looking for Players list. However, this should be used carefully – it would not do to push games that are only open for a short time down the list.
