Allow narrators to revise their own moves.
A narrator can edit his latest move, but if he makes a new move, or a player makes a move he can no longer do so. But he can always request a player revise a move, even if it happened a while ago.
Why not allow the narrator to edit their moves?
obviously, this could lead to some problems, but that should be the narrators prerogative.

Setup some open forums
It would be nice if there were some open forums where narrators can swap tips and tricks.

Allow existing strengths/weaknesses as wild cards
Rather than writing your own every time, it would be handy to be able to pick from the list used in character creation. So you could have a defining trait to start with, and a secondary trait you'll select via your wild card. It would also cut down indecision in character creation!

Ability to open stories in new windows from story browser
While searching for a story I would like to join I noticed you can't middle mouse press, or right click to open the story instantly in a new window, this is frustrating when you wish to have a look at a substantial amount of stories.
1 votePlayers should be able to right-click on ‘Learn More’ on game banners to be able to open the story in a new window.

Allow narrator to play Obstacles after the limit is reached
Sometimes a scene just demands more obstacles.
Allow narrators to add more obstacles by increasing the amount of cards players can play in the scene.1 voteNarrators are now able to change the number of cards able to be played per scene and thus increase the number of obstacles each scene. Thanks!

Show cards already played
It would be very helpful, if you would display the cards rpeviously played. There are two instances, where this is especially important:
1.: Wild Cards
When a player wants to know how she used my Wild Cards, all she can do is page back through the previous scenes and find the instances where she played cards. This is rather cumbersome. It would be better, if you could see the cards you have spent and how you have spent them on your character sheet.2.:Status of Challenges
Yuu can see if a challenge is heading toward toward a weak or strong…33 votes -
Allow narrators to control absent characters to avoid retiring them
Hey guys,
We all know that people have real lives to worry about before games, but it can be really frustrating if a game stalls because one or two players are absent for a time.
How about letting the narrator take control if my player has to leave the game for a while, but wants to come back later? That way the game can progress for the others and no one has to quit a game if they fully intent to come back and resume play.
2 votesPlayers can hand off characters if they are unable to continue playing them; if they return the character can be handed back to them via the narrator.

Editable Forum Posts
I really need the ability to edit forum posts. I cannot think of a forum post that I have not edited for spelling, etc. I would like to start a thread for a game I would like to run, but I closed once I realized that I could not edit the posts.

make it clear for new players what happens when they post.
I just made my first post to my first game, and I wasn't sure if my post would become immediately available for viewing by all writers, or if it went through some approval system by the narrator first.

Bug fix: Suspended games show up in "Looking for Players"
There's no logical reason for Suspended Games to show up in "Looking for Players" if you can't submit a character. This just adds to the clutter. I would guess a "quick fix" could be had by causing the suspend button to update the "Looking for Players" entry in your database.

Increase the word count limit
The current word count limit for writing moves is far too limiting. In several of our active games, players have needed to post two (or even three) back to back moves in order to describe the scene they're writing in the level of detail they want. It seems unnecessary to have an arbitrary word limit when other similar post-by-post writing forums enable up to thousands of words.
47 votesHi everyone — Really appreciate the comments and debate on this issue. It seems like the best option here is to let the narrator control the limits. We’ve just released an update that adds an option to the game management page. The narrator can leave the word limits at their default, or they can customize them, or they can disable them entirely. Hope this helps!

Noteworthy Posts
I think there should be some kind of 'noteworthy posts' implementation. Like a post(s) of the day ( or week) thing. I guess this can go on the forums, but it'd be nice to see an official selection that were voted on by users

Add / Edit Card Images (at any point)
I know that the creators don't want the text of cards to be changed after character submission (or, at least, that's the impression I have). But - like the avatars now - I would love the option to add / edit images on my character's cards at any point in the course of the story. Sometimes players don't have time to find any images right away.
Thanks for listening!
25 votesIn Gamma, players can edit their character’s avatar at any time, as well as the images on any cards that they themselves authors. Narrators can edit card images at any time, even if they’ve given the card to a player.

Status update / badge
We need a 'status' badge or update system for players so that narrators can see whether or not real life has kept them busy and that is why they haven't posted. You should be able to show if you are away on holiday or similar. Or if they are in the middle of writing a post and don't want the scene to move on until they are done. People are using the comments facility for this at the moment.
28 votesPlayers can now set ‘vacation mode’ from their profiles. This will flag up an icon on their avatars in any games they are playing/narrating and if clicked on will give an estimate of their return date. Thanks!

When requesting revisions allow players to change the cards played
Allow players to change cards that they have played when a revision is requested. It appears that it only looks like they can change the text of their move.
53 votesThis will be in the initial Gamma launch. Players (and narrators) can edit the cards they played provided the changes don’t create conflicts with what other players have done later in the story.

Remove suspended games from the "looking for players" list
Right now, there are 29 pages of "looking for players" games--and the older ones are mostly suspended or otherwise ended games that are obviously not looking for players.

Make challenges and cards easier to check
With a scene with all the challenges and cards at the start it's fairly easy to check the status, but for long scene with challenges and cards introduced in the middle it can take a minute to scan down to find all the challenges and check their status and to look for free cards.
Similarly, it's hard to see who has moves left.
The UI could be improved by making these clearer.
- Put the number of remaining actions by the players in the "Cast" list.
- Put the remaining cards and challenges somewhere easy to find (bottom or top),…1 voteThere is now an Activity Summary that lists all the cards played and moves made by the narrator and players, as well as any existing challenges. Thanks for the suggestion!

Allow shared narration
I think it would be useful to have the option to share narration duties with another person. I am creating a game right now, and am awkwardly trying to explain what I'm doing with the setup outside of the game with another person for collaboration. If I could just add him as a second narrator, that would be quite helpful.
105 votesRotating narration now allows members to share narration duties between them.

Player and Narrator Achievements
I think adding Achievements to Storium would offer incentives for both Players and Narrators to both complete existing stories and try new things in others. Achievements could show up as badges on a person's profile and would be visible to all. Achievements could be things such as:
Played a Female Character
Played a Male Character
Played a Character with a Disability
Played a Evil Character
Played a Good Character
Finished a Medical Drama Game
Finished Fantasy Game
Narrated Mystery Game
Narrated a Game with Cast of 3 Members
Narrated a Game with a Cast of 7 Members
Narrated a Game…26 votesUser profiles now list Storium Achievements, including ‘The Basics’, character-related achievements, hosting & narration achievements, gameplay-focused and community accomplishments. THanks!
