The Activity Summary now lists how many cards each player has played in a given scene and how far along each challenge is and how it is trending (Weak/Strong/Neutral).

The cast list actually is fixed in location, but only up to 4 players. After that, we can’t be sure that everything will fit on the screen, and if it didn’t then there would be no way to view the content that spills over. So in those cases we have to make the cast list scroll with the rest of the page so that we can ensure that everything will be visible. Make sense?

Great suggestions, thanks!
An error occurred while saving the comment Judson Lester commentedEven moreso: some count of how many people have used any card during character creation - we have one game where 3 of 5 players chose the same weakness.

We will soon be adding the ability for the narrator to explicitly specify which characters are in a given scene. Would that help a bit?
Meanwhile, you can visually segment the action in a scene by using a horizontal rule (“
-” in our layout syntax). Note also that the system does not require that players make a move in every scene. So you can ask someone to “sit this one out” and the scene will be able to progress just fine. Hopefully these techniques can get you un-stuck for the time being?Regarding simultaneous scenes, we’ve received this suggestion from a couple of other users, too, and so we are thinking hard about how we could add it to Storium without making things difficult to use and understand. It’s high on our list so please stay tuned.
Thanks for the feedback!

Besides, on of the strengths of this particular medium is that it *can* run in parallel, compared to tabletop play.

Great idea, we’ll figure out a way to do this. Thanks!
An error occurred while saving the comment Judson Lester commentedAt the moment, image addition tends toward "search wikimedia or deviantart, download image, then upload" - skipping that step would be really useful.

Heh, we’ll they’re not really intended to be “missing images” (more like default art) but the fact that you interpret them as such is perhaps telling! :)
We are definitely planning to provide more art choices. One of the goals of our upcoming Kickstarter campaign is to finance this!

One hack in the current system would be to introduce an obstacle "Jack and Jill: Fight!" where the Strong outcome is "differences settled - explain how." and the Weak is "nothing resolved, but everyone is hurt - explain who and how badly." Maybe a note that "uncertain will mean someone is retired."
Now resolving can also mean you win the fight, dig?
