    Strongly agree.

A lot of comments are "of the moment". Switching back and forth between the two flows can consume a lot of time (or cause miscommunication).

I would be fine with making "linked" comments semi-visible (mouseover or similar) so it's clear that the main story takes priority. But the ability to add additional information to a post without disrupting narrative flow would be fine.

Otherwise I expect you'll start to see [OOC: blah blah blah] start to crop up.

The dual layer of the narrative (player vs character) is one of the great joys of the roleplaying genre. I'd see if you could make enhancements here.

On the iPad you can read the commentary at the bottom.

I assume that you're use the widescreen aspect of many modern computer monitors to allow people to comment on the main text by putting it on the side but the volume of comment vs posts on some scenes means a lot of scrolling.

Strictly speaking a "chat" function is good. It's not google wave but it's getting there. So I like being forced to interact in a "closer to real time" fashion. (instead of the "essay wars" that sometimes develop on message boards)

But it's a bit scary that an errant return will commit your comment to record for eternity.

This sounds a lot like Fate points in Fate.

From experience I can say that the challenge is you have "bad ass mage" characteristic (Card?) and you can just pump all your points into doing stuff with that without using your other traits.

The 'card' mechanic links the point to a trait. So you get one use of your "bad ass mage" and then you have to make use of "lovable weirdo". If you just have 2 points and two characteristic then the suboptimal (but potentially more interesting) trait tends to recede into the background.

It's not a "right or wrong" thing. One mid-point option would be to allow someone to occasionally change a strength into another strength.

This may not be the right place to ask but is there an "economy advantage" in playing weakness cards? In games like Fate you get tokens for compels, which helps the narrative along by encouraging characters to fail forward into their character. (sorry for the buzzwords, I'm thinking about characters like Dresden from the Dresden Files..... the more the player digs the character into the story by doing the "stupid" thing that advances the story the more the player builds up the ability to do a an amazing reversal that makes it all worth while)
