allow people to play multiple characters in one game
So far, there doesn't seem to be an option for one user to play multiple characters. Some of my friends are having issues with this and will have to make multiple accounts in order to play all of their characters. It would be nice to allow players to play multiple characters. All in all, I really love Storium!
This will be a part of the initial Gamma launch!

@Saronai — You don't actually have to do anything on Gmail. Your Gmail account automatically already will accept any email sent to "[your account name}+[anything]@gmail.com". This lets you create infinite unique email addresses, instantly. You just make them up and enter into the system where you need them (like Storium, for example). Here's Google's document about it: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/12096?hl=en

Also, the listed under review back door doesn't seem to be working for me at all. I can't find where to add +accounts to my gmail on gmail and in creating a new gmail address I'm told I'm not allowed to use the + sign. If I go to add accounts I just get put in an endless cycle of signing in to add an account that takes me right back to my email and having to click the add account button again.
I know that's gmail and not you guys, but I'd appreciate, if you're going to supply a work-around, it was well described and accurate rather than leading to a frustrating run around for an hour where I still can't add two more characters to the cast in the game I'm running for my son.

I see comments on here saying no and I just wanna add my two sense. The protests make sense in the constraints of what those comments are saying. In these cases, the narrator can just choose to only allow one character per an account.
I homeschool my son and for his writing, we have fun playing on storium, so often it's just he and I in a private game together. It'd be nice if we could write as different members of a cast. It'd be super nice if opening up the multiple characters feature also opened up the ability for a narrator to create a full-fledged character.
I don't see any reason people who really want this feature should be limited in how they want to play on Storium (for my son and I, it's more like story-telling that largely ignores the card system anyway) when a narrator can just be given the option to restrict it. If you're that worried about it, the developers can add a "tip" about the problems multiple characters can create before you choose to turn it on.

I would absolutely LOVE this ability. I know Storium is a lot like a table-top game but I use it for text-based RP, too, and I'm used to juggling multiple characters per scene. The ability to give each character their own cards and subplot would be immensely useful!

The narrator already has the ability to control which characters / players get in. So maybe a notification that a character is from the same player in case they don't notice but otherwise this would already be in their control. The concurrent multiple characters would be helpful in small games without public invites. If people just want to play with 1-2 friends.

As long as the narrator has the ability to veto whether a person can play multiple characters, this might work well. I just see too much room for abuse of this type of feature if not carefully monitored.

Multiple characters at the same time could be a problem - I certainly wouldn't want that in a game I was playing. However, the ability to kill off a character in a story and then make a new one would be very nice. We've just started a zombie game and fully expect characters to die off fairly frequently. Being able to re-enter the game with a new character would be great.
So I would suggest to amend this to consecutive multiple characters, as opposed to concurrent multiple characters.

The narrator has to approve characters. If that is a concern for the narrator then they can not approve multiple characters per player. However, if a smaller groups of friends 2-3 want to limit play to themselves I could definitely see advantage to splitting multiple characters amongst themselves.

I have played a few role-playing table-top games and some live action role playing games.
From this experience, it can get messy if one person want's to be two characters. In a game like this, nothing can stop someone from blending their characters to share resources/cards and play off each other. And worse, it could lead to someone who only plays one character to feel ignored or singled out in the game - especially if they reply once a day whereas you can have a dialogue with yourself.
