I support this vigorously. Edits in particular tend to be spammy, but it would also be nice to, say, have moves be realtime and comments be digests.
It would also be helpful to be able to have different settings for different games, so you could get realtime updates from smaller games and digests or nothing from games with a lot of players and more noise than signal in the comments section.
