    @SLHood, I second Rebecca's idea! You can sign me up for the development of a module set in Republican Rome circa 100 BC. (OK, it's already in development, but you can STILL sign me up for it...) :-)

    I think this feature is already available. When a Narrator designs a scene, it can be done without requiring the use of any obstacle or character cards.

    Concur. Completing a game is a major accomplishment. Quitters shouldn't get credit.

    Great idea. Retired characters are, essentially, failed characters under the current setup. Having a "mission complete" option for a Player's character would be a great feature. Presumably, if the game itself concludes successfully, "Completed Characters" would receive credit for going the distance, whereas Retired characters--as is the case now--would not.

    A very interesting idea, to be sure! A Meta-Challenge would, I suppose, be considered as an entirely different category of challenge (in much the same way that we currently have "bullseye" challenges and "people" challenges. Another interesting, though perhaps too complex to implement idea would be to make a Meta-Challenge playable over more than one scene; in other words it would "carry-over" from one scene to the next until it is completed.

    I hope the Storium people take note of this idea and give it some serious thought.

    Glad to see that this proposed capability is now under review! Fingers crossed that the Storium design team will find this to be a worthwhile and feasible capability, and take steps to implement it.

    Thanks for taking this idea under consideration. At present, it's only a rough thumbnail, but I'm sure once the Storium brain trust starts tweaking it, you'll come up with a new capability which will truly enhance game play, and open new possibilities for players and narrators alike.

    I would really like to see something like this implemented! It seems just plain rude to decline an invitation without being able to offer some sort of "Sorry, but...wish you all the best" type of message.

    Storium definitely needs some form of "Player vs. Player" mechanism. I heartily recommend that the Storium developers pursue this option along with other potential methods for facilitating player v. player or Faction vs. Faction gameplay.

    Adding a mechanism for Player vs. Player conflict would allow Narrators to develop games featuring one or more "factions" of players. This could be useful for geopolitical type stories, or even the tried & true (& perhaps slightly overdone) vampires vs. werewolves type stories.

    A normal challenge would resolve itself as per the current system, relying on a majority of strength or weakness cards to determine a strong or weak outcome. A special "conflict challenge" card would be resolved according to which faction played the larger number of strength cards. A faction who succeeds in gaining control of the story in a "conflict challenge" would enjoy special advantages (perhaps gaining assets or additional strength cards, etc.).

    The current system is well suited and quite playable for any number of "colleagues on a quest" type of games, where the challenges are often cast in terms of players vs. common enemy/obstacle. That works great for a vast number of scenarios, but it still has a somewhat limiting effect on our ability to tell a story or play a game. Being able to pit individual or groups of players against each other occasionally would really open up a whole new set of story options here.

    Along with an organized TOC, it would be nice if the Narrator could assign specific titles to each chapter once it is completed.
