  1. If there is a time lapse between chapters, the narrator should be able to allow players to discard goals and resources.

    Since I cannot move characters from one story to a new story, then sequels must be in the same line. So there should be a way to dump leftover cards that no longer apply, from the last story.

  2. Player Ranking System - Participation/ Engagement/ Ability

    A simple upvote/downvote for player participation in scenes, engagement to the story, and ability of the writer would help narrators and GMs weed out potential potsquatters and dead weight. The writer turnover rate is awful right now.

  3. Take character names out of email subject lines

    After a weekend of action in 4 games, I had over 50 separate email threads for updates. Since gmail only groups emails with the same subject into a single thread, I get a single thread with each character's individual moves, which makes it basically useless. It would work much better if all of the new moves in a game had the same subject line so they would group together in order in a single thread.

  5. Provide choice of rewards for completing a goal cards.

    When a narrator plays a stack of Goal cards for a player to pick up, the only reward currently given when that Goal is compelted is a wild strength. However there may be times when the narrator would prefer to reward a pre-defined Strength, or unlock a stack of asset cards on completing the goal.

  6. Date and time needed

    Setting Date and Time for play probably needs to be suggested to players, and some sort of game scheduling calender needs to be added later. You're setting game schedules for 4-5 players. Typical appointment scheduling will need to be added at some point.

  8. Allow Goal cards to be played outside of Challenges.

    Our group has received a number of goal cards. Many of those goals are "downtime" type activities; but there are few logical challenges to be set during downtimes. It would be good to be able to play Goal cards in a scene - perhaps limited to one goal card per character per scene, outside of any challenges, to indicate active work towards accomplishing the goal.

  10. Edit or gift a single one of an item.

    If someone has 10 of an item and attempts to gift just 1 of them to another player, they gift the whole stack. Same for editing an item. If one item out of 5 is damaged, the player should be able to rename that one, "damaged item" without changing the whole stack.

  11. Give players a word count, as well as the scene and comment count

    I like the scene and comment count, but it would be good to know how many words the narrator and players have written as well.

  12. dialogue graphic design.

    It would be nice if dialogue could be a different font or some other visual, slightly different color perhaps?

    When the dialogue is against that french grey box, it is bit hard to pick out a glance, the quote characters can get a bit lost.... LIke, in our space game, we have an AI and a large Aligator man... wouldn't be cool if they had different fonts to gently prompt us that they are different. I would think it could work for fantasy too...elves & goblins could have really different fonts.

  13. Allow for minor personal layout modifications

    A few times I've caught myself thinking "I really wish this section were over here." In particular, I'd like to move around things on the home page, though I could also see this as useful for getting the layout just right for myself in a story.

  14. provide a way to fix mistakes when handing out cards (like removing said cards).

    I accidentally provided some Goal cards when I meant to provide Assets. It'd be awfully nice if I could fix this rather than just making my players kludge their way through.

    (It's such an easy mistake. Just click the wrong button to create a new card, and then the UI is identical.)

  15. A wiki pages with some tips for narrators on how to work special mechanics into the system.

    For example, one intuitive Narrator created a game where each player played an entire faction, and each card represented a personality in that faction. This would be a GEM of a tip for new Narrators.

    There are a boat load of other great ideas like this just waiting to be developed and show to the narrator pool.

  16. Character Obstacles should get cards to play on obstacles

    The idea is that Character Obstacles are basically Characters with cards and the narrator can have them spend points toward a 'Tragic' or 'Selfish' outcome.

    Perhaps in certain circumstances they can take actions which -steal- the challenges right from under the players noses.

  18. Allow syncing games, not just cloning

    Say I'm playing a game, then I clone the game to start another game with other people. I might create more cards in the first game, and other different cards in the second game. I'd like to be able to copy all the new cards from each game over to the other in one transaction.

    (Best not to worry about cards I deleted from one or the other campaign. I can always redelete any cards I need to if I have to.)

  19. Secondary email account?

    I don't know if this is even going to be possible, but I'd like to be able to host games under a secondary email/handle. I write some stories under a pseudonym, and I'd like to be able to run campaigns based on that pseudonym without people who know me by that pseudonym learning my real identity.

    I suppose I'll probably just end up having to shell out for a second Storium account under that other identity. :P

    After finalizing a game, I would expect that Storium wouldn't occasionally send me emails reminding me to start a new scene
