I respectfully disagree. Social media is destroying our ability to use language to form complete sentences and cogent thoughts. A site like Storium encourages people to actually WRITE, to actually use their brains to form complete and rational articulations. If I like a move, I write something like "That was an excellent move for your character. Nicely done!" It doesn't take that much longer to write out thought than it does to type in some sort of "OMG" "LMAO" or whatever sort of coded response is the hot thing these days.

Agree wholeheartedly. This relates to the recommendation to not give retired players credit for game completion as well:

Having the second nature available as an option for Narrators during game creation could be pretty useful.

Is there a danger of Storium changing from a collaborative prose-writing venue to a collaborative comic book/graphic novel venue? Not sure if this is a good idea, to be honest.

As an interim fix, I recommend that prospective applicants contact the Narrator directly via the "private message" feature and inform the Narrator of their intention to create a character. if the Narrator knows you're working on a character, they might even send you a direct invitation in order to circumvent an imminent closing of the open invites

Narrators should be able to work though issues like that. Masking a player's identity in a game...just not sure what the value of that would be.

I can see where this might appeal to some players, but I worry that the game would get "clogged" with images. Besides, this is, after all, a **writing** game. We're *supposed* to be coming up with those "thousand words;" that's the whole point of being here! :-)

Nice idea. That would also encourage narrators to conclude their stories (instead of just letting them peter out) in the hopes that the same players (& their characters) will be eager to return to a sequel.

One possible example of what Ben has suggested can be found here: <https://storium.use rvoice.com/forums/211322-general/suggestions/6879844-the-opposing-outcome-challenge-card>

This is a super interesting idea, thank you for sharing it! We will put it in the mix ideas we’re experimenting with.

This is messed up! It's like giving a deserter a medal for the very battle he ran away from! I definitely think this should be corrected.
