Great suggestion, thank you! We like the idea of some manner of player-to-play recognition, and Karma might be a way to do it. Longer term we are also considering audience recognition — that is, people who are reading your story but not playing in it.

Great idea and would make a big difference, especially to some writers who put their all into a story that just doesn't pan out. . . at least they walk away with something.

We should show who has given Karma too . . (on a profile) . .. not to whom or anything, just a running tally like the favorite system. Shows who gets acknowledgement, but also shows who is supportive as well.

I for one would love it for effort - running a Beginners game, sometimes these new guys really give it there all. You may not see Shakespeare, but who cares .. . sometimes you can really tell when someone just really pushed themselves and I would love to give them a high five for it.

    Win win.

Narrators are now able to specify number of cards playable per character per scene. This can be altered on a scene by scene basis.

    Thanks!

This would be helpful...as some challenges I like to coax a little more out of the writers...I.e. One card play per move. Not all the time, but sometimes.

I am all for this...I admit to being a "Attack the dog!!-Sally only" challenge card writer. Also, I would like to offer the flip to this as well. For example "Save Sven!!"...where everyone but Sven can do this

I personally have found character specific challenges can be good for the story...but even better to give some players a chance to shine when I find them to be hesitant or perhaps being drown out by more active players.

This would be awesome... Especially when your writers divert you with an oddball, but totally acceptable change in direction. I had a very complex challenge and continuation I had to work up...at the same time, the writers were into a great banter bit...I had to delete my continuation several times ...finally opening a word document, writing and editing there, and then copy and paste back when ready.

Also, rebuilding the challenge was a pain..I had to make notes. A sort of narrator "cue" would be nice...or sandbox. Good stuff.

If I could throw in a fourth: indexing listing of scenes chapters?

I am on board with this idea, I am running a beginners game as well, and I am writing with a new team each chapter. I have a work around...going to un-retire all at the end of chapter 3 and give them each a complete on their record...but even outside of this instance, I can see how this would be helpful if a character finishes their natural arc even thought the larger story continues.

Users can now set ‘vacation mode’ through their profiles with an optional return date. When set, this displays an icon on all instances of their avatars (Narrator or player) and when clicked will display the return date so that absences can be more easily communicated. Thanks!
