Add Decks or Tags for Narrator cards
As a narrator who enjoys mechanic-heavy games with large numbers of unique cards and the current options for card organization are a little on the lean side as-is.
Currently, a Narrator has to go through a very long list of cards on a very small selection interface to hunt down what they need.
A feature that allows Narrators to organize Obstacle/Character, Asset, and Goal cards into Decks would be extremely helpful.
For instance, if a player character were going to schmooze at a party, a narrator might use:
Deck: Schmancy Party
- Obstacle: Traffic Jam
- Obstacle: That Stain on…7 votes -
Recent Game Activity Pane
I would love to see a docking pane under games on my home page that, when clicked, show recent activity. Additionally, it would be great if it highlights when there is new/unseen activity. I personally find myself sometimes missing activity in games because another game gets a lot of activity in a short amount of time and "pushes" the other game off the recent notifications list. This would be a cool way to solve it!
Here are some mockups I made to show how I think it would work
1: Home page, no new game activity
2: Home page, 1…21 votes -
True Shared Narration
Single narration is great. And rotating narration adds a fun bit of chaos to proceedings...
but there are times when two or more people want to narrate a story together... and while handing narration back and forth is perfectly functional... games with more than one regular or even semi-regular narrator would flow much more smoothly if we could share narration duties with someone right from the start without either handing back and forth or manipulating the rotating narration system to get that to work.
So... yeah... another narration button in the game management screen would be great... that lets us…

use google chrome's notification system
that way we can know if a new post or a comment got made in an active game, even if the tab is closed.

Improve wild card creation on mobile devices
I find that on Android phones (this problem may exist on other types of phones, but since I don't own one, I can't verify this) creating or editing a Wild card is impossible, as the "Confirm" button is so far to the right that it is off the screen, leaving a sliver of a button visible, but not big enough to actually allow you to hit it. Rotating the phone doesn't help, as it just keeps the same framing and increases the resolution. If the Confirm button were left-aligned rather than right-aligned, that would probably be enough to fix this.

Create an "Adults Only" Looking for Players forum section
Recently, I've noticed a few "erotica" games or things of that nature being listed in the Looking for Players forum. Based on the fact that we have underage players on Storium, I was thinking maybe it would be best to have a separate "adults only" Looking for Players forum for these and perhaps for other games that would end up with the 18+ marking?

Adjust the Give Card for multiple characters
It would make game play much easier and faster for the host if you could make it possible to Give the same card or stack of cards to a selection or all of your players instead of having to do it one player at a time.

Facebook Integration
Currently you cannot login with Facebook if you've already made an account. The site says you can link it after you log in normally, but that option isn't present. It would be nice to use Facebook as a single sign-on by linking a normal account to a Facebook account (as is stated should be available).

Shared move
Sometimes you want to make a dynamic move, for example, an action or conversation scene but it is too hard when you need to write sentence by sentence while waiting for the other player to react to your action or question.
you need to add the possibility to make a shared move, that when it is published to people played in it.
You can differ who is who by different colors on the "move bubble".
Each player could play a different card and when they publish both cards are simultaneously played.Imagine a fight between two players in one move…

develop a quick game (mobile app)
I think that storium could benefit from faster mobile first stories(turbo fate), that work with apps...
I am not sure, but I think they might be different in their gameplay, adding to the options. Being primarily mobile, I think reaction times will be shorter in these games, texts shorter and in general faster. Stories could be cached, offline writing and pushing enabled and so on. This might also make it easier to offer more open games.
Wanted to put it out there to get some ideas on that. Would it be useful or what do you all think?!

Allow minor revision requests
Sometimes as a narrator you want to make a revision request for something that doesn't really change the content of the move, such as a typo or rewording an NPC's dialogue. In these cases it would be nice to mark the revision request as minor so other players can continue to post.

Unable to edit open lobby post with no replies from mobile
While attempting to edit a typo in an open lobby post from my android phone, I was unable to save due to the message depicted in the screenshot. However, there are no replies to said post, so I should be able to edit it.

Allow centre and right alignment (justification) of paragraphs
In general, I find that the formatting allowed for moves is sufficient. However, I like the idea of using standard screenplay formatting for a game, and that requires centre and right alignment of paragraphs. This doesn't seem to be a feature of most markdown formats however.
If it is possible, please say how.
If it isn't, how difficult would it be to implement, and is there any demand for it?

There should be more profile settings
There should be a way to update your age range for when you "graduate" from one into another. As of now it seems you would have to make a new account to update your age range.

new world exploration achievements
I have two ideas for new achievements based on world exploration and it will encourage players to play in worlds or explore.
The first of these is the world explorer achievement.
You get this one in steps, much like other achievements for playing in a wide variety of worlds. It would have names like
traveler: 3 worlds
explorer: 10 worlds
wanderer: 25 worlds
trailblazer: 40 worlds
pathfinder: 60 worldsand so on, though of course those names might need adjustment.
the second kind of world achievement is a mastery achievement, which a player earns for playing multiple games in the…

I am unable to customize my home page from a mobile device
Using an iPad 2 and trying Chrome and Safari, I pick a game from the drop down and try to move it from my home page but the option will not save.

Have a "games played with you" section on profile
When I'm looking at the games on a player's profile, it's often because I know I've played with them before but I can't recall in what game(s). Having a list of what games you've played together with them, including suspended games and games they've retired from, would cut down on search time immensely.

Add an Episodic "medium" for stories with a TV Series feel
Storium currently refers to structural narrative units in terms of "Acts" and "Scenes," which works wonderfully to give most games their dramatic structure, but that terminlology seems to break down in games that don't fit neatly within the arc.
The Episodic medium would differ in three major ways from a traditional Storium game:
- Focus and Writing Style. The Episodic medium is much more plot- and action-driven. It focuses on vignettes rather than robust literary scenes; there may be a few scene changes within an Episode unit that would be cumbersome with what Storium now refers to as a "scene". Moves…

Weaknesses as Strengths and vice versa
We have all witnessed, lived, or read of situations where weakness blooms into triumph and strengths have become liabilities. I'm suggesting adding a "Tag" to the strength/weakness cards. A player can then "tag" a weakness, indicating its use that turn as a strength, or they can tag a strength, indicating its use that turn as a weakness.Tags are of course limited (maybe 3 uses per story?). I realize wildcards can serve the same general purpose but they lack dramatic flair.
