An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Meurlorg commentedHere is a reiteration of the above idea, what I really mean is if Storium's game setup or the way in which the games are created could accommodate this in some way as a option, like extra buttons and settings you can use etc..
An error occurred while saving the comment Meurlorg commentedI forgot to mention that each self contained story, if and when they interact can also exchange knowledge, objects etc.. obtained from their respective stories, for example: lets say in one self contained stories they discover/create a location, object etc.. this things can be recycled and reuse by other self contained stories if they meet with this particular self contained stories to use, creating a far reaching lore and idealism that is universal to each self contain stories.

An error occurred while saving the comment Meurlorg commentedit might be because the game has come to play, and that removes it from the list but being able to narrow it down to specific just makes it more convenient to the players, which is usually a good thing

We will soon be adding the ability for the narrator to explicitly specify which characters are in a given scene. Would that help a bit?
Meanwhile, you can visually segment the action in a scene by using a horizontal rule (“
-” in our layout syntax). Note also that the system does not require that players make a move in every scene. So you can ask someone to “sit this one out” and the scene will be able to progress just fine. Hopefully these techniques can get you un-stuck for the time being?Regarding simultaneous scenes, we’ve received this suggestion from a couple of other users, too, and so we are thinking hard about how we could add it to Storium without making things difficult to use and understand. It’s high on our list so please stay tuned.
Thanks for the feedback!

An error occurred while saving the comment Meurlorg commentedAll I have to say is any player in a game should have the option to turn any passive situation into combat and any combat situation into passive etc.. hopefully what you are suggesting isn't locking any potential interaction by limiting the way in which you interact but instead making the npc intent more obvious so that a player by choice can act accordingly.

An error occurred while saving the comment Meurlorg commentedThe perfect game would have no defining rules causing each player to eternally one-upp one another(to whose character is the most bad-ass etc..) since theirs no limiting factor to bind them or more properly define them.

An error occurred while saving the comment Meurlorg commenteddoes that mean you want to define a obstacle as being hostile or passive, so players have a idea how to interact but then again even if its define, who is to say no to a player who wants to murder, attack etc passive npc's
Let say you liked a particular story created at storium and want to not only play in it but build on whats already their, what I am suggesting is that other players should be able to ask said creator and with their acceptance be able to do it, like franchising a story world but instead of having separate story's here and their, they should be able to have a home page of sort that links them and makes it easier to access
