  2. Add a page or tab for the world to reference places and show a map?

It be interesting to have some tools to organize a bigger game or if players are on two different adventures to show the world to the players whether it be in a city or across continents that were created by the players. maybe even a tool to make maps as the narrator would be interesting to hear your guys thoughts.

  3. Please give us an off-topic forum category

Please give us one forum category where we can just chat with each other, say hi, get to know each other, share interests, etc, without having to be slotted into the narrow categories.

  4. Give forums their own notification list.

One notification list to rule them all is really not ideal. Please give forums their own notification list so that the tiny space we have to get an overview of our games at a glance is not flooded if we want to keep up with forum threads as well.

  5. Mobile App

Designing a mobile app for Storium would be extremely helpful for people who would like to update their stories while on the go.

  6. Holistic vs "As of Now" Character Edits

Under the current system, when a player edits their character, that change is reflected by all posts made by that player, however sometimes a player wants to have their character evolve through the story and have their description/avatar reflect that. For example, one character in a story I'm a player in switched sides for a little while, switching to an alternate persona, and edited their profile to match, however, this change was reflected by the entirety of the story, all the way back to the first scene. When I first logged in after the change, I was confused and didn't…

FYI we are looking at ways to do this. One that we particularly like is to link “as of now” edits to playing your Nature card, and thus making it a big event in your character’s evolution. For example, when Luke’s Nature card changes from “Farmboy” to “Rebel pilot”, and his photo and description get updated to match.

  7. Allow Narrators to take "auto actions" under certain conditions.

Like, for example, "Halt game when character X posts," if that player has been disruptive to the plot in the past and the narrator wants to make sure they don't go too crazy. Or "Close challenge A when challenge B is completed" and "Close challenge B when challenge A is completed" to allow for mutually exclusive challenges. This would be good for Narrators who's schedules don't align with their players or want to create more dynamic scenes.

  8. Additional info

You need to put up what size format the different pictures are to be at the moment it is much guessing how big a picture can be and then start to add to if (mainly on the sides) until it get the height you wish.

  9. Let the narrator place a limit on cards per challenge.

While in most cases the idea of letting all the players collaborate on a challenge is great, sometimes you want to create a challenge that demands group consensus. An easy way to allow this would be to let narrators set a challenge at one point per player, but impose a limit of one card on that challenge for each player. That way, the group as a whole has to decide which way they're going to go.

  10. RSS feed for individual games

The email notifications are great, but get caught by the spam filter sometimes. An RSS feed would be a GREAT backup to the email notification to know when someone moved or made a comment in a game.

  11. Allow narrator or another player to take over inactive characters as player characters after 2 weeks

I've heard about a lot of games getting bogged down because of inactive players just dropping out & not letting anyone know. I've seen that happen both in a game I'm playing in and may have the same issue happening with a game I narrate (the player hasn't done anything with his character in 2 weeks).

After a reasonable amount of time, could the narrator possibly take over for that character, with all the strength, weakness, subplot, etc cards available as to any other character? Perhaps an option in addition to "Retire" that pops up after 2 weeks of inactivity…

  12. Allow players to edit moves and have narrators approve them

Sometimes, players make small typos that don’t really hinder the game, but they are bothersome upon rereading. Instead of the narrator requesting revisions, it would be cool if players could edit their move and the revised version went to the narrator for approval (preferably with highlights of the edits). Then, the narrator could approve or deny the changes and they either go public or return to the player with an explanation.

  13. Revise your conflict in the example of play

In your example of play, you have a "Protect the Innocent" obstacle which has as a Strong outcome "You succeed in protecting the innocent" and as a Weak outcome "You fail completely to protect the innocent." This strikes me as, actually, being dead wrong according to the way the system is described: Shouldn't a Weak outcome mean overcoming the obstacle, but with nasty side-effects?

How is a player supposed to follow the instructions "Narrate how you overcome the obstacle. Use the following text for inspiration: 'You don't overcome the obstacle'"?

I worry about this particularly, because I think that the…

  14. Give guidelines on managing numbers of assets per challenge

The current help doesn't give guidelines as to how many assets are a good reward for any given difficulty of challenge. To avoid flooding players with cards (or starving them) some guidelines would be helpful.

  15. Peer Editing

I think it would be cool if once you made a post and someone was reading and they noticed a spelling or grammar error that you hadn't noticed they could 'suggest' a change in that word. On the players profile they could approve or deny the correction, but the suggestion wouln't appear to the other players.

  16. Allow players to set a scene or request a scene

As much fun as setting every scene is, one of my favourite part of tabletops is asking the players what scene they want next. I think the narrator should have the ability to "call" for player started scenes and then roll with what the player has initiated.

  17. Set Moves as Dialogue

Moves consisting of only dialogue between characters seem disproportionately large next to normal moves, as each person needs to make a move for their next spoken line. A simple solution could be to set a Move as a "Dialogue move" and adjust the CSS formatting around it to be more compact. An advanced method to handle it could be by instituting "Dialogue Trees" that characters can select to use when marking a move as "Dialogue" with each tree grouping the dialogue together into one move's space.

  18. Add a section for physical traits on character page

I would just really like to know things that aren't always captured in the avatar picture such as height, weight, hair color, etc.

  19. Allow images to be added to commentary

I'm an artist and have a habit of drawing stuff that happens in the games I play. I would love to share them, but am stuck adding a link in commentary that doesn't turn into a hyper link.

A hyperlink would work fine, but it would be awesome if the the commentary could identify the link as an image and show a thumbnail of the image the user could click on to open the larger image.

  20. Allow narrator to play card for inactive player

Most of the games I've been in so far have bogged down due to one or more inactive players. The remaining players can't complete the challenges to move the story along because they have played all their cards. I would suggest that, 24 hours after a narrator prompts a player, if the player hasn't posted, the narrator can then play one of that player's "weakness" cards on the challenge and write it up, so the remaining players can finish
