Crop Larger than Image
Like most image uploaders, users cannot "crop" an image to a size wider than the original. I think it'd be nice to be able to crop WIDER than the source image, filling the new space in with white, so that I can upload a square image and make it FIT inside the oblong space provided for any of the card images.

"How to Play" Feedback
I had a number of minor comments on the "How to Play" pages:
- There should be an explanation of when you will receive email notifications. I think the notification system is very good, but we just didn't know what to expect when we started.
- Please explain the "Commentary" section in the instructions (or on a ? next to Commentary). It is not intuitively obvious who will see the commentary and that it is scene-specific.
- I didn't realize that you can make moves without playing cards or confronting challenges. This should be more explicit in the instructions as it is a…

Replace Icons with Thumbnails
Storium does a great job encouraging you to find evocative images to add to cards. But you can't see the image unless you click on the card. I put the effort into finding the right image, I want that image to replace the little target/bag/flag icon so I know the players won't miss it and will see that there's something new when I make an update.

Character Relationship Cards
I would like to see cards that establish relationships with other player characters that you could then call on to address challenges. This would integrate the player characters better and allow for more player interactions.

Allow players to post pics
Would love to be able to post pics along with the post if we wanted to show the avatar in a certain position, or an object, etc.

Narrator sets move order
When a scene starts it's apparently a free for all to post. It would be very helpful if the narrator could set the posting order in-game with the option to let players skip their turn if they wanted.

Display the narrator comments on a character somewhere
I received an email notification that my narrator commented on my character, but it's not displayed anywhere on the site or on my character sheet.

Player vs player conflict
There doesn't seem to be any way to have player vs player conflict. I mean I could create an obstacle, but that seems to be a little ... flat? There really isn't any benefit or penalty to the players other than just ... kind of being there?
Thoughts:
Be able to add characters to the character or conflict system.
Be able to give up character's items and plot cards as possible rewards for winning.201 votes -
YouTube embeds
It would be a very neat tool for conveying mood, atmosphere, information, or just background music if YouTube videos could be embedded within posts. I use it often in a play-by-forum game running on Vanilla.

Options for various cards to be dropped
So, you have two out comes. Weak or strong. Instead of having just one pool of cards that the players can draw from, why not tie them to the outcome. You get X,Y,Z for a strong outcome, but just X,Y for the weak one (or even A,B).
Gives the players something to shoot for, when they decide what cards they want to play

Provide choice of rewards for completing a goal cards.
When a narrator plays a stack of Goal cards for a player to pick up, the only reward currently given when that Goal is compelted is a wild strength. However there may be times when the narrator would prefer to reward a pre-defined Strength, or unlock a stack of asset cards on completing the goal.

Allow for player card inventory editing
I've had some players take cards or play cards and the group felt it wasn't appropriate for that situation. It would be good for the narrator to be able to edit player card inventories to either increase or decrease card counts, or delete cards in hand.

Narrator Pause Button
It would be nice to have a way for the Narrator to pause the ability to make moves in a scene until they are ready to allow the action to continue. This way they could pause the scene after someone makes a really disruptive or 'dick' post and then 'resume' once it is straightened out without having the moves continue roughshod along making it impossible to reverse something.

Improve keyboard accessibility
I try to not use the mouse as much as possible; keyboard centric navigation is easier for me. While I can tab around, being able to cmd-enter in text fields (à la Github) would be really nice.

provide option to include your own comments/moves in Notifications.
Sometimes there is so much activity shown in my Notifications that it's difficult to keep track of when certain comments or moves happened in relation of my own comments and moves. It would be nice to have the option to show my own comment/move notifications among all of the others in my feed.

Add a new type of story card called "Tone".
The Narrator can specify that the tone be "spooky" or "upbeat" or something and then players could award karma to players who hit that tone perfectly.

Making neutral cards more interesting
The more I poke at the system, the more it seems to me that the neutral cards - Goals, Subplots and Assets - really aren't that interesting in play. Because they can't drive a scene towards a strong or weak outcome, the only reason to play them is to avoid pushing a challenge away from where it is - e.g. if the balance is currently strong and you don't want to waste a Strength as the last card you play.
(Or if you want to avoid pushing a weak-but-player-written outcome into an uncertain-and-Narrator-written outcome. I kind of feel like weak…
