Alert the Narrator that someone is in Character Gen before they close it
I was right at the end of generating a character for a game and then I was cut off; the narrator had closed the submission acceptance. I'd like to see the narrator get an alert that someone is in the middle of generating a character before they close it, or at least allow that person to finish and have a chance to be reviewed and potentially selected.

respect carriage returns in the comments thread
Storium lets me put blank lines in my comments, to break up paragraph, but then deletes them when in posts the comment. This is counterintuitive and limiting.

Let narrators add hidden outcomes.
I started a mystery story, and quickly found I have to keep the clues hidden in a Word doc on my dropbox. My Strong outcome is "You get the clue" and my Weak outcome is "you get the clue, but..." (fail forward philosophy). However, I can't say what the clue actually is.
I would like to have an outcome option that automatically reveals the hidden clue text, but not until after the challenge is resolved.

Implement a voting system for things that don't need a "challenge" setup
While the card system is great and works for most things, there's sometimes a need for the group to come to a resolution on something in a way that could use some technical support but doesn't need to be a challenge. For instance, "Where does the group head next?"
It'd be nice to be able to set up a simple poll with a few answer options, and just let the group vote without having to do moves or play cards. The Narrator could set a time limit on the survey or manually close it, and have his answer.

Have a submit button for the commentary box
I am using a different browser than previously and I cannot submit commentary, it will not submit. This would be easier if there was a button like submit or save to enter our commentary a bit more manually. (the browser I am having trouble on is Firefox)

Allow players to share Goal cards that they pick up
I think this would be helpful form a narrative standpoint if a player character could convince another to join them in completing a goal, or to task another with completing it for them. Sometimes the story might even split characters up in a way that the character might need to pass the goal on to someone else. Whatever the case may be, I think this would be a helpful feature.

Better access to favorites
When I find a game I want to follow and star it, it can then be difficult to find it again. Could the "Favorites" page include a list of the starred games? In fact, I'd like it to follow the pattern of the home page, with the games centred and the activity as a secondary column down one side.
Greate site generally though!

Set Moves as Dialogue
Moves consisting of only dialogue between characters seem disproportionately large next to normal moves, as each person needs to make a move for their next spoken line. A simple solution could be to set a Move as a "Dialogue move" and adjust the CSS formatting around it to be more compact. An advanced method to handle it could be by instituting "Dialogue Trees" that characters can select to use when marking a move as "Dialogue" with each tree grouping the dialogue together into one move's space.

Add the ability to search the forums
With the forums filling up with posts, a search feature is becoming vital in order to find what's needed. I want to start up a new game but want to make sure someone else isn't running something similar. Right now there's no way for me to quickly search to see if something's been posted.

Change how past dates are denoted around the site
As it is, if a post, comment, or message was made more than a single day ago, it is noted as having been done "Last [X]day" as opposed to simply "[X]day"-- which is what it ought to be while the day in question still resides within the same week as the present day.
I propose/request this dating mechanic be amended for clearer timekeeping. "Last" should be reserved for when an action is now a week old. Then things can switch to numerical dates, perhaps, when things are two weeks old and more.

'Tags' to Keep Track of the Players You Enjoy Playing With (And Those You Don't)
Each user could have an unlimited amount of 'tags', which they could attach to another user. These 'tags' would not be seen by anyone accept the user who had put them there.
There would be different types of tags, such as 'Undesirable Player/Narrator' and 'Desirable Player/Narrator', thus allowing Storium users to keep track of who they like to play with, and who they don't. This could help to prevent future conflicts.

Please make it more mobile friendly!
I check my games on my Android phone and sometimes the text is too small to read on my screen, but there is no way to make the text larger and it won't rotate sho I can try to make out bigger that way. Needles to say, it makes it very difficult to tap on links in the drop-down menu. Please fix!
Thanks!

Allow stories that don't use the card mechanics
I frequently play games that would benefit from Storium's scene and move support, but they already have their own mechanics.
It would of course be possible to have the players GM ignore Storium mechanics except as necessary to manage scenes, but it would be nice to not have to bother.

Card choice on challenges have largely become predictable
In the majority of the games I've seen and have played in, the challenges can usually be broken into "physical challenges" and "social challenges." It's gotten to a point where there isn't a ton of choice anymore, because people are automatically dropping their subplots and weakness cards on "social challenges" in order to "get them out of the way" so that strength cards can be played on more "important" scenes.
This has led to a certain level of a lack of creativity. And it's why I believe we need to split up the strength and weakness cards into two categories.…

Maybe having a search boxes
We should have a search box, so we can find what we want to roleplay in. Some people (like me) want to find some anime roleplaying, or fandom roleplaying. And we have no idea on how to find it.

give more details about, and word-processor functions to, moves/narrations
this includes, but is not limited to:
a running word counter at all times while you're typing a move, rather than the "x words left" that currently exists.
a note of how many words any individual move is, so people can get a better idea of what x words looks like before making a move.
buttons for italics, bold, etc, rather than memorization of formatting, even if said buttons just input the formatting necessary (i.e. asterisks, carrots, dashes, etc) for you.

Games rating on join page
It would be helpful to put an optional movie style rating system (G, PG, PG-13,R) descriptor for each game on the Join page. It would help folks determine if they wanted join a game or not, and should be fairly cosmetic.

Give a draft area for the next scene
Currently I believe you can only start narrating the next scene after ending the current one. But it would be good to be able to get a head start on it while the players are working. Of course, depending on that they do you might need to scrap it all, but it would be nice to have a draft area anyway.

Notification Noise
I love the idea of making a move, then surfing around in other tabs or applications on my computer until it's my turn again, without having to refresh or check back manually. A little notification chime like in fb chat would be perfect.
