Lock moves for players after uncertain outcomes until the Narrator makes a move
I think it would be a good idea, in the case of uncertain outcomes, to lock moves for everyone but the narrator until the narrator actually moves. This way, you won't have overzealous players continuing to narrate in the challenge when the narrator hasn't had a chance to post their outcome yet.

Make assets consumable or acted upon
Allow assets to be acted upon, such as eaten, destroyed, split, etc. For example, a pie could be eaten, a piece of candy could be crushed or split in two, or a shirt could be cut up.

Narrators should be able to limit the number of moves a player can make.
I started a "slow" game and was only expecting one play per play per week. It's only been two days and some players have make three moves. It's really frustrating for a beginning narrator.

Move the cast list and comments sidebar further up the page
I tend to browse on a small screen, within a browser that is not maximized. There is wasted space above the cast list and comments areas. If that wasn't there, I could (for example) see all 4 characters in my game.

Add an "observer" category
For games that we want to keep private, but allow certain selected users to simply watch, without participating?
Although, I guess we could just invite them in as players, and then they do nothing. There's obviously no requirement for any player to actually "play" as it were...

BUG: No cancel button on the "Give feedback"
I started to add feedback, then saw that someone else already had in "More matches" section. There is no obvious cancel button to get me off the Give feedback dialog box, escape doesn't work, etc, and yet I don't want to post an idea! How can we close this without posting something?
2 votesWhoa weird, you are right! There is supposed to be an “X” in the upper right corner of that window. In fact, it’s there, and if you tap or click in the corner it will close the window. But for some reason the “X” itself is invisible. We will investigate!

Disable "looking for players" when game starts
I've seen a number of games listed under "looking for players" that have obviously started and played a number of scenes. It may be that these games are still looking for players, but I think it's more likely that the narrator forgot to change the setting. Maybe the default should be that once the first scene starts, "looking for players" gets disabled unless the narrator specifically wants to keep it enabled?

add a real-time aspect to the author chatting
while on a screen, there was a conversation happening in the side commentary, but I wasn't able to see it even while submitting previews and the like to the main window. I even refreshed the screen to see the chat, but couldn't see anything new until after I had replied to a chat.

More Flexible System
I'd like there to be more flexibility in how the cards system can be used. For example, allow an asset that is also a strength or give "injury" cards to a character that are also weaknesses. It would also be appropriate sometimes to allow the characters to narrate the end of a scene if they finish with a strong outcome.

Explain what the user name will be used for when creating an account
I don't know whether I need to choose a very neutral name that will fit with any story, or whether the name I choose during account creation is just a system thing and I'll be able to display different names for different stories. A small explanation when creating the account would be nice.

Gender select for NPC
Offer the ability to choose a gender for NPCs, and switch the pronouns automatically. It'd be convenient if, for example, in the game I'm playing, the PI, who needs to be a woman for the sake of the story, had all her pronouns automatically switched from the default male. It'd also be cool to have gender-neutral pronoun sets available to choose from.

Provide a means of tracking established facts
During the course of the narrative, facts are often implicitly (or explicitly!) established about the world. These facts do not always map cleanly to either characters or locations, and characters and locations are not always visible to the players at all times.
I would suggest allowing the Narrator (and possibly the players) to create Fact cards- cards which do not map directly to challenges, but capture established facts about either the world or relationships between characters.

Allow challenges that every player can face individually
As an example - I am trying to create a bouncer NPC, and each character should have to find a way past her (using a card that represents being the type of person she would let in, or a physical strength card, or a fast-talking card, for example). But each character needs to take this challenge up separately, it shouldn't be solved for the entire group by one person (the group are meeting inside the venue, not arriving together).

Character statistics
I think it would be a good idea to have a summary of how many words each player has written in each game.
I don't know if this could be included in the 'summary' beside the avatar or not.
It would just be interesting to see who are the most active players in any game or who is writing the most.

Tell players when they've hit the three cards per scene limit
I just got confused because I could "make a move" but not play any cards or attempt any challenges. Turns out it's because I've already played three cards this scene (a limit I vaguely remembered), but I only realised that when the narrator told me.
Would be good for the UI to show "you're at the card limit for this scene" prominently on the "make a move" screen.

Demo game
Allow narrators to demo a game for themselves. Go through the steps with no (real) players, and start adding items. Perhaps even splitting off from a current game, to see for themselves how it might go.
If they like it, they could then make it real.

Character Class/Profession cards
Sometimes a character's class or profession can define their very nature... but other times, it is simply one facet of that character. I feel there should be an optional set of cards that the Narrator can choose whether or not to use for their story that would serve this purpose.
This would make it IMMENSELY easier for people to translate the character creation systems of some of their favorite TableTop RPGs into this setting... some like Numenera really can't function without this additional kind of card as on top of character class, that game has "focuses", which isn't simply something…

Make looking for players a little more complex
Hey, I was wondering if it would be possible to organise 'looking for players' by genre, or put games in a random order? That way games won't sit languishing on page 6.
Thanks,
A.

More prominently display games "Looking for players"
I had a hard time finding the link to browse through games marked "Looking for players".
On the home/root page, after I logged in, there is a prominantly displayed button that says, "Browse", but the link takes me to the default "Featured" Filter.
I am embarrassed to admit that it was not immediately obvious to me that I needed to click another link (the one leading to the "Looking for players" filter) to get to the results I wanted.
Perhaps a new styling of those filter links on the
/games
page?Perhaps a few more links on the home page…
